Hmmm - still not the week, eh? And Will Fennell took off on the road!! Just ahead of a bunch of BladeForums Fanatics demanding to know when their Cuda Maxx knives will be shipped? When/will Will return??? The plot thickens!

NEWS FLASH - Rumor has it that NBC outbid ABC, CBS and Fox for the rights to the story for Reality TV. Right now, they're split between calling the new show "Where is CUDA MAXX?" or "The Great Will Fennell Chase." I personally don't think either of those titles has the "zing" that they need. Maybe some of you folks could come up with a better name?
 
Knifeworks said that it should be two weeks or so...I wouldn't hold my breath.
 
The first episode in "Where is Will Fennell?" was a beaut! Will came ashore on this Pacific Island only to find a TV crew filming some sort of Reality TV series. Since a sign over the crew headquarters mentioned something about "Survivor...", Will grabbed a pair of Cuda Maxx folders and asked if they needed help.

"Great," said the producer. "Imagine the last challenge with the three finalists on a high platform, wrists bound together, each with one of these monster knives." "Yeah, talk about immunity," answered the director, "and think of the ratings!"

Realising he was among lunatics, Will grabbed the knives and headed for the beach. There, he found a group attempting to build a shelter and showed them the Cuda Maxx folders. One somewhat retarded, evidently human primate managed to give himself a small cut. "Oooh," shrieked on of the females, "let me help." So saying she dropped her bikini bottoms, straddeled the cut hand and began showering both the cut and the Cuda Maxx. Reluctantly, Will snatched (no pun intended) the knife away and headed for his boat. "Talk about corrosion testing," he mumbled. "This'll convince even Forum members that D2 makes a helluva blade."

I hate to bring bad news, but the CUDA MAXX 5.5 is being delayed. I had 1 knife earlier this month to approve, and all was well with it. Well, last week, we were inspecting the first batch before shipment, and a problem surfaced in too many of the knives, not all of them, but some of them. We are going through ALL of them now to correct and identify the root cause of the issue. Darrel is heavily involved in this, and it does take a bit of time, shipping knives back and forth.

We will not ship these knives until CAMILLUS and Darrel are both happy with the final product.

We WILL get the final product right.

I'm sorry to bring the news of this delay, especially on a knife that we are ALL waiting for with baited breath, but we insist on getting it right before we ship.

I'll keep you guys informed as more info becomes availible.

Speaking for myself, and probably other folks as well, I just want to say thank you for the update and I really appreciate the effort you folks are going through to make sure it's just right the first time out, delay or no delay.

Now, where is mine?!?! :mad: Just kidding, I'll try to wait patiently, lest I incur the wrath of the moderaters... ;)
