How did you get your first Becker knife?

I was searching through blade forums and had never heard of BKT. Did some research and ordered the 9 after Christmas. Then ordered an 11. After the following Christmas, just decided on my 16 and it arrived last night! The 16 seems like it could quickly find a sweet spot in my world!

March 2013: I was talking to some friends about hard use knives. We started discussing the KA-BAR zombie knives and the inspirations for the designs. One friend said they were based off old bush craft designs; which led to a discussion about bush craft knives in the group. Someone mentioned the Becker line, and after reading reviews about them, and watching some Youtube videos I bit the bullet and splurged a little. I got a 9, 4, 2, and 24, buy once cry once; right? After using them for awhile now, I been very impressed with the whole line. I'm patiently waiting for a BK 12 and Reinhardt.

I kind of wish I had gotten a BK16. That looks like a really good 'all around' knife.

You got 4 Becker knives at once to start!? Wow.

My beautiful and wonderful wife bought me my first Becker, a BK-16 as a surprise Christmas present about 2 weeks ago.

There are not enough words to describe how much I love this knife. It's perfection.

I found about becker bk2 on youtube. I had been looking for a short but tough 'indestructible' lifetime knife for camp/bushcraft. Having never seen a Becker in the UK I saw videos and reviews on YouTube and was just like a MoD 4 knife so I took the risk and imported one! So happy I did as its a hell of a knife. I hope to get a nice small becker to perhaps replace/compliment my Swiss army lock folder one of these days.

Before I started making knives seriously, I used to hang out in W&SS a lot, and everyone was talking about this cool, handy little rascal called a "Becker Necker". The design and materials made a lot of sense to me. Bought one right before Camillus went belly-up. Liked it very much, still have it. A newer Ka-Bar version now lives in the front pocket of my favorite jacket.

Little did I know that would eventually lead me to meeting a bunch of very smart, interesting, helpful, sometimes brutally honest people who have become dear friends, including Ethan, and learning a boatload about designing and making knives.

I didn't know it at the time, but buying that Necker was the best career decision I ever made, and led me to a great deal of just plain fun times :)

Go ahead and get you one, they're frickin' sweet! The BK16 is the number one general-purpose knife I recommend to people who can't/won't spend a couple hundred bucks on one of mine.

I can and do make and carry any dang knife I want. A stock BK16 is mounted securely to my BoB/goin' fishin/just out for a dayhike backpack, just in case. Take that for whatever it's worth. ;)

About a year ago I was looking for an all around outdoor knife for camping and hiking. I ended up getting a gerber LMF II. It was a great knife, but not the knife for me. I sold it after giving it a brief try. I had several people suggest the bk2. I checked one out at a sporting/outdoor store. Again, a great knife, but not right for me. The bk 2 was a little too bulky and cumbersome for my personal taste. A bit disappointed, I happened upon a bk 16 and when we met it was love at first sight. I ordered one and have been happy with it ever since. I just recently received a bk 14 and am looking forward to getting to know it. I haven't a lot of extra money laying around, so I typically purchase one knife a year. It's been Beckers two years in a row. Currently eyeing the bk 9.

2 and a half years ago my girlfriend(now fiancé) asked me what I wanted for my birthday and the BK14 was at the top of my list. Best birthday present I've received in awhile. I'm hoping for my birthday this year she'll "surprise" me with a BK24. I just love everything about the knife

I got my first about 4 months ago. It is a BK14. Actually ordered 2 on accident. Best accident ever. I stripped one and left the coating on the other. Just got the BK2 and promptly stripped and put vinegar patina on it. These are the best knives for the money! My hats off to you Mr Becker.
