Mine, it's a common saying; "Don't bring a knife to a gunfight." Which isn't always good advice, I've personally seen a knife brought to a gunfight a few times, and most of those times the guy with the gun didn't do so well.

Mine comes from my online gaming days. The moniker I used elsewhere when I signed up to play Diablo II was already taken, and I happened to be eating some cashews at the time. I changed the "s" in Planters to a "z" because that's was the cool thing to do at the time.

Ironically, the moniker I used to use is one used by a fellow BFC member, Phydeaux, which I got from an Animaniacs episode where there was a gravestone in a pet cemetery inscribed with that name.

A truncated form of my last name and also a nickname that people have been calling me since high school. In my last name, the "K" is pronounced, but when shortened to "Knab", the "K" is silent (like knife. For years I wrote it as (K)NaB...) and pronounced "Nab".

I use a lot of derivatives of my gaming handles. Those gaming names come from whatever song I was listening to when making the name. "Styg" comes from a gaming name of mine "Stygian" which comes from the Iced Earth song Travel in Stygian.
