How do you carry your EDC?

Just curious, do you carry it in belt sheath, clipped to belt/pocket, or just in pocket?

I always used belt sheath, but that's because mine dosen't have a clip.

While in the office, I keep one down in each front hip pocket - a SwissChamp and an Delica. Once I get home, the Delica gets clipped. If I go into most public places, the Delica gets unclipped and dropped back into my pocket. Reclipped when I exit. If I'm going into Home Depot, Tractor Supply, or anyplace like that I don't bother unclipping.

I may be off topic here but as I read this, many of you actually have to worry about others seeing your pocket knife? Dang. Thats a sad state of affairs. I grew up with a dad who taught his sons that a real man was always prepared. Have a few bucks in your pocket,a pocket knife, wallet, watch, pen and a hankerchief.I dont carry the latter but I have included a small flashlight into the mix. If I see a knife in a guys pocket/belt/IWB the only thing I think is, 'that guy grew up like I did'. Boy Scouts were right, Be Prepared. I have heard they changed that to "Be Politically Correct"

My usual edc is a Spirit multitool, which is in its pouch just behind my right hip.

When I carry my Bark River Mini Canadian, it goes in my right front pocket in a Woodswalker hip pocket sheath.

Well I just replaced my gerber with a spyderco (soooo much better, but fear of break/dull it I'm afraid to use it now), since it dosen't have a sheath, I'll join you guys who clip it in right pant pocket.

Well that's the state of society today. I asked on a local forum on if there are blade length restrictions. Besides the guessing answers, majority of the answer is "WTF do you need a knife with you?"

710 clipped to right pocket 940 clipped either higher on pocket, or in jeans condom pocket.

Clipped inside my right front pocket, everyday, always! Either a Strider AR or a BM 610 Rukus. My right front pocket is dedicated to my edc exclusively, everything else, including my everpresent slipjoint (a Case barlow currently), goes in my left front pocket. I try to have knives that come with a low ride clip, or be able to modify those that don't. I also have a 740 Dejavoo that usually only sees Sunday go to meeting carry. It also sees right front pocket carry.

Young Sir, it is a "watch pocket", designed to hold a pocket watch. Some of us such as I, myself, still use it for that. It is still properly called a watch pocket, even when used for a coarser purpose.

It is said that the last stage before "sage" is "old fart".
Woo hoo! I'm almost a sage.

knarfeng, from your post I have decided to take it upon myself to buy a nice pocket watch (or make one digital) and use the pocket for that. I believe traditionally though the watch was kept in a breast pocket or pocket within the right pants pocket on the interior not the exterior.

65535, I'm quite fond of mine. My parents gave it to me about 35 years ago. It is mechanical and keeps excellent time. You are correct on both alternate locations. But jeans did not have the inner pocket and were designed for miners, who would not have been wearing a vest. Remember, the basic jeans style dates from the 1850's when there were no wrist watches.

Sorry to go off topic folks. back to EDC's now!

Clipped to a my jeans pocket--or khaki short pocket, in this weather--or just free in the pocket.

Fixed blades go on the belt. Right hand side behind the hip.

Folder clipped to right front pocket. Fixed blades on the belt but what side depends on if I'm carrying a sidearm. Left side if I am and right side if I'm not.

Kershaw Blur S30V clipped in right hand pant's pocket.

Leatherman Charge TTi on belt sheath at about 9:00.

LOL! I usually just call it the coin pocket, but the watch-pocket moniker makes sense.
I have to admit thats the first time i've heard it referred to as a "condom pocket" are you perhaps British? lol.
Doesn't anybody carry "safes" in their wallets anymore?
:)

depending on pants and day I carry main folder in front right pocket with sak soldier in the pocket watch pocket, or for dress pants just sak in front right. when i camp its sak front right with fixed on belt in sheath with folder in my pack
