My state requires fixed blades to be worn openly, so when I wear one it's from a dangler with an s-biner that always lives on my left side. CCW on the right side.
I tend to not wear a fixed blade as much as I used to around town because I don't want to draw attention to myself in public. I'm trying to do the grayman thing these days. I do frequently have a backpack with me that has one (a Buck 119 with leather stacked handle) mounted on a non-visible PALS section with a copy of case law from my state that says a knife in a backpack is not considered "concealed on one's person". It's a tool, not a weapon, so I'm not too worried about needing it quickly. I usually have some form of one-handed opening folder on me should I need to cut something and only have one hand free.
