Hey BF,

I was wondering... how do you normally carry your knives? I am primarily wondering about folders. Does it depending on the size/knife? For example a thicker knife goes in your back pocket vs a smaller knife in your front? I am interested to see how (and why) you guys carry your knives a specific way. Also, do you prefer tip up or tip down carry?

Which one? ;)

I always have one clipped to my right front pocket. At work I also have a small one in my coin pocket.

Gideons tactical?

Always clipped in my right front pocket. On rare occasions when I carry a fixed blade it is stuck into that same pocket.

Clipped to my right front pocket, and a knife in an outside pouch of my wallet.

folder gets carried right front pocket, when I carry the fixed blade it's left front hip at the 10 o'clock in a cross draw sheath so its out of the way and accessable with my right hand

Slipjoint in left front pocket, locking folder clipped to right front pocket, Buck 110 in left rear pocket, small fixed blade horizontally on belt at 10 o'clock.

Gentleman's folder or Office EDC - bottom of right front pocket

All other EDC folders - deep-carry clipped to right front pocket

Small fixed - right side belt

Medium fixed - cross draw on left side belt

Large fixed - backpack

Usually clipped to right front pocket but recently have started to carry non clipped in right front pocket. Slip joint knives always go in right front pocket.

Clipped on my pocket, one is all I ever need far as blades go. I do supplement my knife with a prybar.

Depends on the knife and the pants.

Small slipjoint - watch pocket of jeans if it will fit.
Medium slipjoint - right front pocket loose in the bottom.
Larger slipjoint - right rear pocket, vertically beside notepad.
Modern folder with clip - right front pocket, clipped to the pocket.
Keyring knife - on keyring, left front pocket.

Sitting around the house with boxers and a t-shirt - bottom of t-shirt pocket (only used for very small/light knives like a Vic Bantam or Case Peanut).

When I'm working: multitool in it's sheath on my right hip plus one hand opening folder clipped in my right front pants pocket.

When I'm not: SAK dropped in right front pants pocket.

SAK Cadet in my left front with keys and money clip. Not attached to anything.

Modern folder in back right pocket at work when I'm not carrying my gun. Back left pocket elsewhere. Gun goes in a wallet holster in back right pocket.

This is Texas after all. It stays warm. I gave up on everything but .380 ACP in pocket carry.

Do you guys prefer tip up or down? and seems a lot are front right pocket :P

Most of the time it is tip up in front right pocket, except for my PM2 and ZT0350 that are tip down in rear right pocket
