How do you carry your knife?

The ragged corner of my right front pocket on every pair of pants I own says it all. Its a mark of the hobby, kinda like a shift boot.

Main EDC folder (varies, but 940-1501 is most common): Clipped to right front pocket
SAK Cadet: Buried in right front pocket below EDC or in watch/change pocket if the pants have it; I have a short paracord fob on it so easy to pull when needed
Olight: Left front pocket

If I'm in a suit and don't want to clip a knife, then I'll drop either the EDC or the SAK rather than have them bang around in one pocket together. Only knife I ever clip in a back pocket is the RAT 1, which I carry only when doing work that calls for a beater.

Do you guys prefer tip up or down? and seems a lot are front right pocket :P

Depends on the blade. A big knife like a Spyderco Military or Szabo is better tip down since as I draw my thumb is indexed to open it. Smaller blades tip up is fine.

Wear running shorts 8-10 months out of the year.

Usually only one (940 or CRK lg Inkosi) but today I needed the 0450 for some precision cutting.

Otherwise, when Im in jeans, just like meat. One or two in the same pocket. Main user at the back of the pocket, specialized towards the front.

Modern clipped knife: RFP (tip up) but RBP can work well for a some folders if they are flatter (manix 2).

Traditional: RBP, upright next to wallet

Fixed blade: depends on the size.
Becker BK11/14/24 (RBP) between wallet and body, handle upright

For larger I prefer crossdraw between LFP and belt buckle.
Larger than that is either hung from belt on right side or attached to a pack.

I don't actually have a preference. I only ever change it to minimize the amount of knife handle sticking up or because it was uncomfortable in the hand.

IWB clipped behind my belt at the one o clock position. Good concealment, easy access ,out of the way of my pockets. I forget it s there.

In a pocket sheath, front left pocket. Tip up or down doesn't matter, sometimes it's tip sideways.
Secondary knife is either in the shirt pocket or right side clip carry in a pouch pocket

right front pocket in the rear corner tip up only. otherwise it better be a fixed blade in a sheath somewhere on my belt line.

Front right pocket, tip up, a smaller knife in my watch pocket. And a multi tool in the right cargo pocket or inside coat pocket (depending on the season).

Unless im at work, then the small knife is replaced with a small flashlight, and multi tool is on the belt at 4 o'clock.

I moved back to a traditional pocketknife several years ago so...no pocket clip.

I carry in my right front pocket. My knife goes into its own sectioned off area because I hate when it falls sideways in my pocket and I will not pocket a sheathed knife.

The Kersaw Ripcord is an occasional belt carry.

I am probably going to try this out, I also hate a sideways slippy in my pocket.

Most of the time it is tip up in front right pocket, except for my PM2 and ZT0350 that are tip down in rear right pocket

May I ask why do you choose the tip down in rear pocket for those specific knives over others? I recently got a ZT 0350BW and it just seems right to have it tip down right back pocket... not sure why. And is actually why I made this thread, because before the ZT 0350BW I always carried tip up front right pocket.
