How do you all carry your EDC knife?

Belt? Front pocket? Back pocket? Left side? Right side? Tip up? Tip down?

Why do you carry it this way?

I carry my folders in my left front pocket tip up. Tip up because I mostly carry Benchmade and that's how most come. Front pocket because I don't like sitting on my knives. Left side because I am right handed and my flashlight sits clipped to my right pocket, and I use my flashlight far more often than my knife.

What about you??

Very carefully. :D

More seriously, I usually carry a large, modern folder clipped tip up in my right front pocket and a SAK or traditional folder loose in my left front pocket.

I would carry my knife in my right pocket but my phone takes all the room there. So even though im a righty, i carry left side front pocket. As for blade orientation, well im allrrady carrying "backwards" so i dont even bother changing the pocket clip from how it comes.

I am a lefty, but right eye dominant. SO, the knife goes in my left front pocket, tip up, and the pistol rides on my right.

I know your pain! Im a righty but my right eye is nearly blind so i have to shoot like a lefty

I wrap socks around the sheath and shove it down my pants.
Oh wait... no I don't.

Fixed blade clipped on my left hip and a folder in my right pocket.

Usually right front pocket, tip up. Depends on the knife/pants, though....and how many I'm carrying.

Always Pacific Salt in LFP, each and every day. On the RFP I usually clip a second, complimentary folder or a multitool in case it doesn't go on a belt sheath.
If the MT is clipped instead of the knife, the backup folder changes position to either back pocket.

I carry my Vic Classic in my right front pocket hooked to my keychain.

EDC folder in my right front pocket, tip up only. The model varies from day to day.
Eagle TAC D25 or Lumintop Worm clipped to left front pocket.
SAK Jetsetter in my left front pocket, kinda stuffed down in the bottom.
Back up folder (Kershaw Skyline) and Leatherman Skeletool in the Maxpedition CAP I keep in my backpack.
If I know I'm going to be outside, I add an "outdoors" pouch by MOLLE to my backpack with a Mora and a Becker BK2.

depends on my mood or what I'm doing. Usually I have either a OHO clipped to my right front pocket or a slipjoint of some kind in a sheath dropped in the pocket. If i'm carrying my peanut it goes in the watch pocket. The front right also has a zippo, and a small flashlight in it. Right rear I usually have a bandana with a spyderco military or a larger slipjoint. When doing any type of repair (house or car) I also have a multitool in a belt sheath on the right side. The sheath has a kershaw leek clipped to one side and a larger flashlight clipped to the other.

back right pocket, whatever tip orientation it came from the factory with.

I know your pain! Im a righty but my right eye is nearly blind so i have to shoot like a lefty

With pistols I find it's easy to move your head over just enough to shoot right-handed and left-eyed.

It depend of the knife.
Most of the time I carry my knife clipped in front pocket (for exemple most of my CRK, BM and ZT)

For some knife it is different: dropped clipless in front pocket (my Delica), clipped on back pocket (my PM2).
And really less often in a belt pouch (sometime a sebenza or an inkosi) but I am not much fan of this....

It depends on the knife and what I'm doing, that's what determines my method of carry.

Either in a particular spot on my bag or in a back pocket, tip up. I used to carry front pocket, but my folders don't fit there anymore due to shallower and shallower pockets.
And the ones I've been carrying lately--CS Broken Skull and Spyderco Lum Large Chinese--would never have fit in my front pockets anyway.
Sometimes I'll clip a folder to the outside of my right front pocket, usually something smaller like a Shuffle or Hold Out III.

Either clipped to my right front pocket, or in a leather slip sheath, in the bottom of right front pocket.
