How do you carry your knife?

Carrying during the day, clipped IWB at about 1:30 behind my belt. Out of the way of my keys and change in my RFP and the clip is usually well concealed. Using it at work, I generally replace it clipped to my RFP as it is easier to place there with one hand. Back IWB after work.

My folders normally carry in right front pocket; depending on the size of the folder of the week, it can be clipped or lose in the pocket (e.g. SAKs). My MT (SOG Power Assist) always goes into the outer pouch of Maxpedition Fatboy. In the Fatboy I carry all the rest of the EDC stuff :D:p, wallet , flashlight, glasses case, keys, mobile phone, pen, passport, tissues, basic first aid (a few Band-Aids, disinfectant wet-wipes, eye drops, etc.).

I am ambidextrous so on the job multi-tool goes in whatever lower cargo pocket I feel like dropping it in. Folding Knife gets dropped into other pocket loose I never use the clips it comes with. I shoot with either hand but my pocket holster is setup for left pocket carry. And I phone 7 plus goes in this on right side.

I'm almost always in gym shorts unless it's cold and I have on sweat pants. So my pocket space is limited. EDC knife RF Pocket, EDC gun IWB right side. Phone and wallet goes in my left, keys usually get clipped on something random like a shopping cart...etc.

Its always been right front pocket for me. Thought about trying new ways but havent yet.

My Monday - Friday carry consists of a sak loose in the bottom of my right front pocket with a Spyderco Delica clipped tip down to the same pocket. I relized a few days ago this has been my normal work week edc for nearly 6 months, might be a record. Lol.
Weekends anything goes and i switch around a lot so no pattern or normal carry to mention.

My preferred spot is IWB at about 1 o'clock. Easy to access but hidden and it's retained well and I think least likely to get lost here. But I carry multiple full size folders so I carry them just about everywhere but that is my favorite.

If I really need to conceal a knife and wouldn't want it to be found if I had to turn out my pockets, clipped in the same spot but to my boxers. About as concealed as you can carry a knife.

Belt worn, cross draw, horizontal sheath:

Or horseback, pretty much always there.

Great in the truck or sitting at a desk. Out of the way, so comfortable you forget you have it on, easily accessible with either hand and always there.

If it's a folder, it goes tip down clipped to my left front pocket. Since I'm left handed and just about every folder in the world seems completely backwards to me I tend to prefer a fixed blade instead. I carry that on my belt on my right side. Something I can easily access on my weak side is more useful than something I'll struggle to open on my strong side.

On a daily basis I carry a folder clipped to right front pocket. Not picky about orientation. Never been in a situation where tip up or tip down would make a difference so I am not really sure why one orientation is better than the other except for maybe personal preference. {{shrug}}

Weekends or when doing yard work, I add a fixed blade in sheath fixed to the belt on the right side at about 4o'clock.

Cheers!

Folder goes in the right front with the spine against the outer edge of the pocket. Tip up is preferred if the clip options allow it, but I don’t mind tip down.

Fixed blade goes on the right side. Vertical or horizontal depends on the knife. Sometimes I will use a leftie sheath worn on the right side to enable a reverse-grip draw.

Tomahawk in kydex sheath is worn with a short cross-body neck strap which allows the hawk to tuck unobtrusively under my left arm, and is easy to deploy with just my right hand.

My office EDC folders also go in my RF pocket, but never clipped. I always carry those in a slipcase or thin cordura pocket sheath. This seems to help sway perception more towards “tool” and away from “weapon”.

I’m not telling where my daggers are…

Since my post (#25) on page 2 in this thread a couple of days ago I've decided to add a couple of compact lightweight Spydercos (Dragonfly) to my EDC. I'm clipping these to the corner of each back pocket, and they practically disappear. I don't even notice them there, but I feel like they'll offer a great deal of utility.

So to answer the OP's question:

How do you all carry your EDC knife?
Front pocket? Back pocket? Left side? Right side?

The answer is now, "Yes", to all four.
