How do you carry your slipjoints?

I make the belt hangers, in various materials....leather braid looks woodsman like but chino, slacks guys may like the thin lines better. Have made them out of clear heavy mono fishing line but prefer the heavy duty 'super fishing line' of the "spiderwire" type. About 20 -30 lb, three lines braided together using the old scout camp tech. You can find instructions on-line also. I either super-glue loops together and use tight fitting shrink tubing. Or my prefered method is to wrap a single strand of line around your glue connection and soak in glue. 5 minute epoxy is good also. I haven't bought any leather slips in s spell, as I usually buy a half dozen or so at a time. They come in different sizes. I am sure improvements could be made. My leather source is: http://www.backroomleather.com/

I keep fighting the urge to buy one of the quality high end/or custom traditionals shown here, but you never know, one of these days I will be weak. And I will then make it a new carrier to make sure it doesn't sneak out of my pocket and to protect it from scratches. If I know I am going to the woods, I like a big stockman or 'the' brass ended folder in a belt holster.

Right front pocket, no pouch or purse. Sometimes other stuff makes it into that pocket along with the knife, and sometimes the knife's in there alone.

I'm sorry Buck's but those are not man purses. Those are pocket sheaths for pocket knives. A man purse is something stylish, that a human male that is not qualified for the issue of a man card, will have hanging from a shoulder, just like one of the girls. Your pocket knife sheaths are a functional bit of man's gear to safeguard the cutting tools. I wouldn't feel at all ashamed to carry a peanut in one.

They are manly!

Carl.

I trust you are using your trusty Zippo to light this flame LOL

With no offense...
Perhaps you could grace it as a different style and not tie it into manliness
I personally cannot abide carrying half my life in my trouser pockets
And my man card is found in my satchel or side pouch

I think we can safely move on until this topic is brought back up once again in a few months...
