How do you know if you got scammed?

I don't know if he has feedback here. It didn't tell me his was non US and non verified until after I made the payment. :(

Well if you got scammed, not a lot you can do about it. Learn from your mistake and don't jump the gun on a deal. Live and learn

Gluck

Do you pay paypal with a credit card or through your bank account? If it gets charged to your credit card all you have to do is call them up and dispute the charge and you will get the money back. Just tell them you bought something and never received it.

Still, I would give him some time to send the knife or write back before you freak out.

I would ask for a confirmation number,it helps seeing its moving. Ask to have it ,and see what happens ..Theres a lot of good advice given here in your thread, its differant,,and people care and are watching. Good luck. And let them help..
Keep the faith..

I did payment owed. I'll do Good options next time.

You should check to see if he has your mailing address. When you do not click the goods button it usually does not transfer over your shipping address. Since you indicated that the payment was for money owed that is what paypal's records will show instead of an item being purchased.

I had that idea from when I ordered a knife through http:://pinoystel.com because that is what Jay told me to do. Stupid me. :(

Relax, not everyone is glued to the screen. I work outside all day with limited access to the internet. The seller might also be somewhat limited, to getting back with you as well.

Do exactly what FlaMtnBkr posted. Give the guy a few emails over a few days time and if no response, file a chargeback - call the number on your card and - well he already told you what to do. They don't give a darn about what button you pressed..yada yada...

You don't even have to go into it anymore than - you paid money to an entity for a knife and they haven't sent it to you. If it turns up just call the same number and tell them you got it. No brainer! :D Good luck

Hey Bali Bro. You made a few mistakes. But don't get worried too soon. Looks like the guy you bought it from recently registered both here and on JD, so that gives you some different contact points. Your knife may be coming from overseas so it may take a couple of weeks and it may get held up in customs.

Another thought; Delivery Confirmation is'nt even an 'option' when mailing overseas. The USPS can't guarantee delivery once it leaves our borders anyway. It also works the same in reverse. I've shipped internationally several times and it always feels like I'm shipping out into 'the great beyond'. I'm told that we have a good 'working' relationship with Canada, but beyond that things can be dicey. I've never had any problems, but, I prefer shipping CONUS only.
