How do you rate Benchmade on a scale 1-10?

I've got a couple years carrying a 950 Rift, heavy but sturdy, and the G10 doesn't wear like the Alum. handles on the 940. Contego is on my short list, if I can wrap my head around a blade that will rust in my pocket :(

S90V PLEASE on a few models!!!!!!!!!!!

Solid 8 in my Book.

Have several models which I like a lot including the mini rukus, mini skirmish, and afck. I carry the 710 with m390 steel some days. I think the griptilian is a fine work knife. However, the fit and finish is only fair in general, considering the price point. The customer service is pretty good but limited by the fact that knives with faulty f & f often times return with the same problems. I have about 10 Benchmades and have had to send back 4 for adjustment for poor lock up, front to back. Two knives had to go twice. Dull blades and off center blades don t bother me. Like the axis lock. Overall 6.5.

I've always wanted to try the AFCK, for me I reckon it might be the one BM that could be just right. They ruined it when they changed over from liner to Axis lock though : / ...and we're back to not wanting ANY Benchmades lol.

benchmades are nice. there not a bad company as some portray them. good quality knives. the problem lies in them not having a large selection. most of their folders start at 100 and up. spyderco can start at 50 and up. i give them an 8

I would compare d2 to m4 in terms of rust. Besides, they cerakote the blades on the contego.

I would rate Benchmade a 9. Same as ZT. The latest ones Ive bought are the 581, 275, and the 810. These are all top of the line materials, excellent workmanship, and they all have individual personalities as far as design. A casual observer wouldn't connect these three designs to one maker, aside from the knife saying Benchmade on it. You cannot say the same about Spyderco, which I like a lot. If you have one spyderco, you can save a lot of money coz they all look the same.
Oh, and my contego isn't rusting in my pocket. Probably because im continent.

When I first got into collecting, in my opinion there was nothing better. They were well built, fit and finish was decent, and the prices were not all that bad. I would have rated them an 8-9

Now a days, they still seem to be well built, the fit and finish has deteriorated, and the prices have climbed substantially. I would rate them a 5-6

All I owned up until I would say 1 1/2 years ago were Benchmades, I lived in Washington State and they were readily available. At this current time I only own 6. Two different Skirmishes and four Gold Classes. The four Gold Classes will go soon enough as my tastes have changed and I like higher quality fit and finishes not that the Gold classes are not nice, just for the money that I have in them there are much nicer that will be worth what you pay. I will eat alot on selling the Benchmades as they do not hold their value as well.

As of right now, I would give BM a 7.25

Of the BMs I've owned and tried out, They have been great with some room for improvement.

I've always been a Benchmade fan.
Old School 814 Mini AFCK, 350 Pardue, 905 Mini Stryker and I've owned every model automatic that they made.
Score 8.0.
Newer products...axis locks, variety of steels, gentlemans knives....none of it is my flavor. My score 7.0 but
for the general knife enthusiests I'd say 8.0-9.0.
Excellent CS and warranty.

I just ordered a Tan Adamas, crap.
I've got to stop reading here...

I've got one inbound too!

Back to the topic...
I've never been disappointed in any Benchmade knife I've bought and never felt I overpaid for the product I received.
I'd give them a 9
