How far do you live from where you were born?

I live in the house next door to the house my parents owned when I was a kid.

I live about 1/3 a mile from the hospital that I was born in.

Born in Chicago, grew up in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

Now live about 250 miles from ES AR, and about 9 hours from Chicago.

All my siblings (4 brothers, 1 sister) live within 100 miles from Mom and Dad in NW Arkansas.

I was born in Milwaukee, WI. I'll never go back for anything longer than a visit.

I've moved 8 times in the last 10 years; lived in 9 States and 5 other Countries. I know where I intend to retire to. One of these days I'll settle down.

Many years, many thousands of miles to end up 55 miles from where I popped into this world.

Ohhh, mannnnnnnnn!!! What the heck is this place?!...

I lived within 15 miles of where I was born for most of my life. For the last 6 years I've lived 2500 miles away and am only disappointed I didn't do it 40 years ago!!

I live about 2000 FEET from the hospital i was born in. I can actually see it from my window. I lie in bed some nights and listen for the LifeFlight Helicopters to land.

I'm 200+ miles away from where I was born. They've even torn down the building.

I grew up about 30 miles from where I was born and then 23 years ago moved to where I live now - 125 miles from where I was born. I remember as a kid I actually met the doctor who "birthed" me and signed my birth certificate. That was pretty cool - My dad took me to his house.

Of the 6 siblings in my family, I am the only one who has never lived out of state. I don't know if it is because I was not adventurous in that way, or if I just liked my jobs and where I lived. I especially love where I live now - a home that I bought myself for my 45th birthday in a rural desert community - I can't think of any place I would rather be on any given day.

currently? ~150 miles from where I was born. For a spell I lived about 1800 miles away.

I forgot to mention that I was born in The Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Hollywood. They were so impressed with me that the building is now a church. ;)

How far you from San Juan de la Vega? Have you participated in the "festival" there?

It’s about a 3 hour drive from where i am. I just got hear 2 months ago so I’m just getting to know the land. And the exploding sledgehammer festival is legendary down here. I will be going one of these days, I’ll be sure to take my Kevlar helmet.

I know this looks completely insane. It is, but that’s classic Mexican fun for you.
