How far do you live from where you were born?

Born in State College PA, 2597 miles from Los Angeles
Grew up in rural NH, 3097 miles from Los Angeles....

I do miss NH :)

According to Google Maps, 728 miles. Was born in Redding, CA and grew up in Cottonwood, 16 miles south. Moved to Sacramento to go to college and stayed awhile. Then to Brunswick, GA for FLETC, to Calgary, AB for my first post and to Oroville, WA in 2002.

If I ever go back to the PRK it will be kicking and screaming. I love WA and can't really see going anywhere else unless it were OR, ID, or MT. But I married a local girl and she likes it here so hopefully the next and probably final move will be out of town into the country.

I live 2 miles from the house I grew up in. Ben to alot places in the marine corps but ended up back at home

Born in Henrotin Hospital, Chicago, Illinois; hospital closed in 1986 or '87.

First home address 3.9 miles north: door in the middle of the block, 2nd floor rear. The storefront business was a Chinese restaurant.

Today I'm 2.7 miles northwest of first home address. It's not much socially, but man what a great climate!

Technically around 60km since I was born in a hospital in another town, but my birth home is much less than a kilometer away from where I live now.

Philadelphia, Pa. to Norman, Ok. 1501 miles. Been all over, but Dorothy was right. There's no place like home.:D

NJ is 1,245 miles from where I live, according to Google, and that's fine with me. They can keep their anti-gun & anti-knife laws and crappy weather. I am not going back.

So, I decided to get the exact miles to Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii, from my current abode. I googled directions, and get this: step #20 says, "Kayak across the Pacific Ocean" and "2,756 mi.". If yer gonna go back to yer old spawnin' grounds, may as well go as low-impact & green as possible, huh? :p

Those insensitive twits. Don't they know I'm "Kayak-challenged"? :grumpy: :p

500 miles. My family moved from Delaware, where I was born, to Ohio, when I was four years old. In the 36 years since I've moved nine times, but all have been within about 30-40 miles from where we first moved to in Ohio.

I work in the hospital I was born in. My office is directly 4 floors below the area that was Labor & Delivery.

My house is 13 mile from the hospital that I was born in.

About 4,300 miles from home, if I were to drive there, the longest stretch of road without taking another road would be 966 miles, also I'm four time zones ahead of where I was born and raised.

I live 120 miles from where I grew up and wen to school...but I live about 50 miles from where I was actually born. There wasn't a hospital in our small town (still isn't). Still in the same state.

Born and raised in Casper wyoming, moved about 400 miles to Riverton UT. then from there, about another 300 miles to st. george for school. now i am nearly 6000 miles away in Korea. come a long way from little ol' casper. miss it still.
