I was looking at fixed blades on the Ebay and this came up. I'm sure its crappy material but still. That cheap with free shipping and a sheath. .

So after shipping and fees they will make 2 bucks if that. Wow

I bet it's total shit. You get what you pay for.

I also like how they used so many different commonly searched words in the title.

Do you understand how much time it takes to ship 824 items ? Way better ways to make money. I sell one truck at the auction and make 2 grand instantly. So no that's not worth 1600 to me ..

Buying and selling trucks at auctions is not without time and risk.

And I understand how much time it takes to ship 824 items. "Not much" with computer generated labels and such.

It's like saying "Do you understand how much time it takes Amazon to ship all those items! Just not worth it!"

Yeah seems like this is losing money most shipping on such an item is ~$7 even discounted shipping seems it would be each 80% or better of that cost.

It's most likely coming from China.
The Govt covers shipping for lots of companies selling internationally.

I see you identify yourself as a "Truck whoeseller"....I am assuming "wholesaler."

The guy selling the knives does the same as you, no doubt.

With you, Frozen Bear Trading Frozen Bear Trading . It's come up for me with the inexpensive folders I see. I can imagine the mass production that allows for sub $10 and $20 knives to be manufactured and shipped in today's world. Still seems like it all leads to the glut of lesser quality goods found everywhere.

I did not know that but it still seems limited profitability but at the same time the percentage profit does certain rise to a very nice level.

Workers make next to nothing, those knives are mass produced in a factory using equipment that some past mfg contract paid for, out of scrap metal, and leftover pieces.
Companies get subsidized to keep the machines running, and the workers working.
China isn't a free market.
It's not about profit. It's about keeping the workers busy and poor.

Shipping from China by the cheapest method is pennies too. It might take 8 weeks to get to you.

If it's cheap and there's a metric ruler in the picture, it's most likely coming from China. I've gotten three dollar flashlights with free shipping from China. It just takes about a month to get it. I use them at work. I won't bring my good ones.

If you buy over about $20 with free shipping, it's usually about 9 days Hong Kong Post to your door, depending on US customs.

DHL only takes 3-5 days but costs real $$.

If it's only a $2 item with free shipping, it ships by container boat and takes a long time.

Never pay for shipping from China unless you need the item fast.
