How large is your collection?

I only collect special high-end production knives, though if I had the disposable income I'd love to add some customs. My collection is relatively small at just over a dozen or so--and is mostly comprised of large bowies.

What about you folks, how large is your collection, and what kind of stuff do you collect? Pics welcome!

Mine's relatively small & lower end, that's for sure. About 40 knives or so. The bulk of them are discontinued Kershaws. The others are "this & that", but there's a Lightfoot Suppressor & a classic micarta inlay Seb. in there, along with a few discontinued Spyderco models.

Like I said, not too big & definitely not "high-end."

My knives are more like a random Accumulation than a serious Collection. I've been buying and saving knives for almost 30 years, and still have nearly every knife I've ever owned. :)

There are over 300 altogether, and I like to accumulate knives of various styles, brands, and price ranges. Hunting knives, traditional pocketknives, military bayonets, modern folders, and a few customs too. I'm especially interested knives that are discontinued, knives with interesting mechanisms, and knives with natural handle materials.

Withing the Accumulation are two collections, knives that I seek out and buy specifically. Schrade-USA Old Timers and vintage Bruckmann pocketknives from Germany.

Considering the sky-high prices of "high-end production" products, I bet you could venture into custom knives if you want to. There are plenty of makers who advertise their knives on the For Sale by Maker forum section, and the prices are usually very reasonable.

Welcome to BladeForums!

Every one of my knives are users, so I only have about a dozen or so.
Let me try and do this from memory.

Kershaw leek.
Kershaw chive.
Kershaw E.T.
Boker SubClaw
Boker Wharcom
EOD Breacher Bar
Mora 2000
BHK Tiger Knapp
KaBar TDI
Small Winchester Slippy (Don't know the model #)
and a KaBar 1245

...I think that's about it.

I have no idea..never counted them, but it is made up of a little bit of everything from customs to production knifes. I have a few customs from R.D. Nolen. He use to live in Colorado, but I think he may have moved to Texas.

15 TOP. I try to trade those I don't use and I still am in College.

Make it x4 when I'll have a real job :)

I currently have about 90 (mostly factory production) knives ranging in price from about $20 (CRKT) to somewhat over $3,000 (Chris Reeve). I have a preference for Chris Reeve and Stryder production knives, though, I also have quite a few BK&T, Benchmade, Spyderco, and Case brand knives of various styles.

I prefer case folders for EDC and like to mix them up to match whatever cuff links I'm wearing that day.

I only collect custom knives. I do not have a large collection at all. I am about quality, and not quantity.

I don't have a collection, just have an accumulation that resides in a moving box or two. The ones I use are pulled out and are available for whatever I need a knife for. They are mostly factory blades with a few customs.

Since this photo was taken, I have added another 30 to 40 to the display. Getting kinda crowded. Guess I should give some more away.

I have about 50-60 middle range production knives. I have a few higher end production, and a couple lower end that I keep for sentimental reasons or for use as a disposable beater. The majory of my collection is made up of folders, mostly SAK's at that. The rest are Kershaw, Spyderco, Benchmade, USA Schrade, Case, Buck, ect. I would like to thin out my collection, but most have been users and don't fetch high enough prices to sell, after shipping I wouldn't make anything off of them. I have about 15 good fixed blades that I can turn to, though I only usually take a folder with me.

I'll take a few :D

I have a small "collection," less than 20, all folders of different flavors. I am not a collector, more of an enthusiast. If they're not being used, I get rid of them.
