How large is your collection?

I have 100 + or- a few,you can see pics of most of them in the lower link in my signature line.I do have a few that haven't made the lineup yet.

Small, very small!:D Recently I've had to sale off some of my knives to generate some cash for a "situation" that has just arisen:(:grumpy:. What I have been left with though, are all edc's. I got away from getting knives for the sake of getting knives about a year or so ago. I concentrated on just knives I would edc and have tried to go for quality over quanity. I have also been finding myself going for doubles on certain knives, and those were the ones I sold. Now I have a crop of only 10 knives, but 10 very good knives! They are;

-Kershaw Tyrade
-Strider AR
-Strider AR Ghost
-BM Rukus 610
-BM Rukus 610BK
-ZT0200
-ZT0500
-Boker Wharcom
The last two are ordered but have not arrived yet
-Case Barlow
-Case Razor

Doing this from memory as I'm not at home at the moment, and I think that is all.

That is one NICE collection. I also prefer quality knives.

Here is my list:

1. Kershaw Tyrade
2. Kershaw ZT 0200
3. Kershaw ZT 0200ST (maybe missing in post)
4. Kershaw JYD Composite Blade 1725CB (given away now)
5. Kershaw Storm II 1475ST x2
6. Kershaw Storm II 1475
7. CRKT Pharaoh
8. Boker AK 101 x2
9. Leatherman Klamath S30V
10. Boker Armed Forces Fixed Blade Tanto
11. S&W Homeland Security Fixed Blade Tanto
12. Neito Bowie
13. Non make Rambo knife

I'm think of selling the ZT0200ST (if it ever arrives) and the Klamath.

I don't think I'll be buying anymore...

Not sure how many knives I have ?

Lots of Emersons and Spydercos, a few Extrema Ratios, Criss Reeves, TOPS, Falkniven and a heap of other production blades as well as good few customs from here and there.

Still got loads more blades I want as well, it really is a sickness :D:thumbup:

Since this photo was taken, I have added another 30 to 40 to the display. Getting kinda crowded. Guess I should give some more away.

(edits mine) " . . . give some more away . . . " Just remember your wonderful, friendly forum folk when looking for new homes for 'em! ;)

I have about 130 +/- right now; all kinds. I usually only add to the collection when I discover something new I don't have yet. My son & I have a lot of fun looking for new "old" ones at flea markets & antique shops. For an eight year old, he's got a pretty good eye for finding things I/we don't have. He's starting to think of my collection as "his". :p

edited to add: Most recent addition is a Case 6.5 bonestag large stockman, CV blades, from Shepherd Hills. Right now she's moving into the "favorite" spot of my collection.

thx - cpr

I only have:
1. Emerson Super Karambit.
That's all.

Don't you know that it takes two to make a Collection? You'll need to pick up a SAK or Opinel, then post back. :D

Just kidding. Obviously, we all started with just one at some point. Except my 2-yr-old boy, he started with 3 when a newborn. ;)

couple of dozen. I buy much and sell much.
I keep users ant knives that have sentimental value.
And know what? I think I should downsize collection and get duplicates for knives I use most.

Your friends ran out of ideas for presents?? Haha!

I'll probably get another folder with an ordinary shaped blade for simple cutting tasks. My karambit will then be just for SD. After that I'll get a Nepalese kukri and a Katana.

That is a good looking list of knives you have there tops! But my guess is that you WILL BE buying more down the road!!:D:D

Please! I'm on my twelfth step of giving up knife buying and it doesn't look like it's helped much!

I need your support!!!!!! :D

How do you draw the line between obsession and err... not obsessed(?)?

Don't ever trivialize your collection. After all we all have start somewhere:)

Thanks for that sentiment JTR. If all goes well, I should be getting my first Busse, an Active Duty in a week or two:D. Then planning to get an RC-3, mini-griptilian, mini-cyclone, blur, etc...I have about the next 100 knives all planned out alreay haha

Don't know, afraid to know.

Sometimes I tell myself that I need to set up some knife collecting software so I can keep track of what I have, what they cost, who made them, etc. Just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Started with production knives, started adding some customs here and there, now mostly custom but I still buy whatever I like in production knives, even El Cheapos. It's really not about the value as much as it is about whether I like something or not.

Haven't gotten into art knives yet, hope I don't ever cross that line...
