I also bought a FF production duke
I love that knife
Very versatile

Once I received my GSO 10 from S! back before Guy moved to Idaho, I turned my attention to FF. I spent many a Friday in the shark tank, and I had a blast doing it. I have two hand made Duke's and I love them both.

Been thinking about getting the Guide from Adventure Sworn. How is it like? You like it?

AS makes some great knives. There was nothing wrong with it, the handle was super comfortable. But it didn't get used so i sold it. Sorry I'm not much help.

No worries pal. I am considering it after going on the queue for a Mountaineer but it is still too much for me to spend now.

Adventure Sworn makes some nice stuff!!!

I bought this one off of the exchange because it matched my Longhunter Tomahawk

I've purchased several knives since my pre orders. I don't buy very many factory knives anymore. I mainly purchase custom made knives. I have purchased some from Fiddleback Forge, W.A. Surls, Dogwood Custom Knives, have on order with Big Chris Custom knives and two on order with Dark Timber Knives.

If you like the classic bushcrafter styled knives, I dont know if there is anyone making a better one for the money than Adventure Sworn. The O1 heat treat is spot on, I havent used his 3v yet

Its an Explorer in O1. I want a 3V mountaineer though. I have just been holding off on any fixed blades until my 4.5 arrives.

Ahh ok. I'm still pretty new to that company but they're very impressive.
Right now I'm on the fence about pulling the trigger on one of their Mountaneers, or trying out a Blackfeather Bushtool clone. I'd love to be able to get a real Skookum Bushtool but the wait is pushing around 5 years now.

I ordered a Mountaineer and I am still awaiting their fulfilling of my order. Looking at other models too but am not sure which model I would like. Cody from Adventure Sworn is cool to deal with and so far I have been quite impressed with all the photos of completed knives which they have been constantly sharing on Instagram on a weekly basis. As for Skookum, I emailed but got no response.

Nice! I like that Adventure Sworn offers their stuff in 3v and have so many ways to personalize the knife.
As for the Skookum, I'd just keep trying to get ahold of them. I pretty sure Rod is the only one making that knife so he has to be swamped.
If you're looking for an alternative, check out the knives from Blackfeather. My friend Josh has one on order and he said the owner is has great communication and the wait time is only a few months.

I saw the video review on the Blackfather and I am pretty impressed with it. I think I will try to order one. Kind of addicted to scandi grind now.

I heard a rumor that he might use cpm-154! That would be pretty epic! I wish he would try out 3v one day.

My order for the Mountaineer is in CPM 154. Not too sure if this is what I really wanted. I had fallen in love with O1 tool steel because of the ease of sharpening (I usually only strop to razor sharp), is very tough, and also it's ability to achieve a very keen edge. Problem is that O1 rusts easily and where I am going is usually wet and humid so extra care and maintenance is required.

3V is more of a very very tough steel but doesn't take an edge like O1. Rust and stain resistance is much much better than O1 though.

CPM 154 would produce a pretty keen edge in between O1 and CPM 3V and is slightly less tough compared to 3V but is fully rust and stain resistant.

I had wanted 3V initially but after much deliberation for a few months I decided that CPM 154 would be the way to go for ease of sharpening cum ability to resist stains.

If Blackfeather is using CPM 154 it would be great, but I am starting to think if I would prefer O1 instead since it is easy to strop to perfection in the field.

You make a great point there. O1 is really hard to beat in areas like out here where the humidity isn't horrible. I'm going to wait until my friend gets his Bushtool in O1 before I even consider placing an order.
