How many Emersons do you own?

As of right now I own zero Emies.

However, for what it's worth I have owned about 25 Emersons throughout my whole knife collecting career.

7a
7b
Journeyman
Commander
Super Commander

But, truth is that upon examination of my 7b, my bro-in-law was so impressed with the Emerson 7b -- I just gave it to him. He has been bounty hunting for over ten years so I know he truly appreciates the tactical implications that the 7b can potentially introduce into a volatile situation. He loves it.

The problem was that I infected him with the Emerson bug. In the last few months he has purchased a Commander and a mini-Commander, and is looking at a Journeyman.

Wait -- I digress.

On topic ... four.

4 with 1 on the way...I hope.

CQC7A BT
Commander BT
CQC8SF
CQC10SF

ETAK-A SF on the way.

I'll be damned if I can narrow it down to just 1.

I've got 7 with me right now, plus one that is away and being worked on.
CQC-10
CQC-7V
CQC-7B
Journeyman
A136
Super Karambit
SOCFK-A
Persian (away)

I whittled things down to ones I actually use regularly. Ironcially, there are 7. Four of which... are 7's.

Lefty Commander
Lefty 7
Lefty Mini 7
"Alius Pro Ego" tan 7
7A
Mini A100
LaGriffe

A-100 Tan
Etak A Tan
Gentleman Jim Black

This is an easy one.!**** =((O))= <<<< never have owned one and never will own one and that about sums that up.!^

Just curious how many Emersons the average forum member owns?

(the key word here is "average" forum member cause I know some of you have like over 10......:D)

Zero. I could elaborate via a 25 minute youtube video I didn't post simply because too many fanboi's would be irate.

In a nutshell, for the money there are FAR better options simply on aesthetics... LET ALONE performance.
I even gave them a chance to right the issues with my cqc8 and they sent it back untouched with the same markings on the lockup serface... Yea, never again.

Sorry you had such a bad experience.

But its official (if you hadn't seen the pictures I scattered about the forum), my ETAK-A-SF came in this morning. Love the look, the lines, and of course the ergos. But it may force me to sell one of my others. It was a bit of a impulse-buy and the holidays took a lot out of me as it is.

I think you could still like them if you went through a few and picked the ones with the least issues for yourself.

I wish there were more average Emerson owners like you. There are a few I would like to get my hands on.

2 soon to be 3 when I order a journeyman next week then off to EKI to get drilled and tapped for lefty carry.

The question didn't ask for your opinion. It asked how many you owned. If it's zero, that's fine. Why would you come into the Emerson forum to respond to a post and NOT answer the question? Your post has no value to this thread whatsoever.

Sigh, sorry for feeding the troll, but I'm so tired of these posts that contribute absolutely ZERO to the thread.

Still 3 here. And many more when I get $$$$!!!

Two; I ground down the hump on my horseman and CQC8 after seeing the Journeyman to make a Super Journeyman and a mini-Journeyman, and love them both.

Had a Super CQC8 but traded it for a Benchmade Infidel since I had the other two and the Infidel was my Grail knife.

Now I see the digi camo Journeyman, will have to get an "official" Journeyman. What a beautiful yet tough knife.

As for the haters, don't worry about them. We mock what we do not understand. There are Emersons I would never own, for I do not like the way they look, but I am not the only person buying knives in the world.

And I would not trade my "JohnnyMac Journeyman" for any knife in my 40+ collection, including my Sebenzas or Gold-Class Benchmade 940-121. Glad I do not have to!

I must say it is the ONLY knife in my collection I feel guilty not carrying out the door with me when I carry something else. I like it like I do my dog, and that's saying a lot.

I would run into a burning room to get it while exiting the house if it were on fire and I thought I had a good change of pulling it off. Seriously. I would always regret not doing so afterward.
