How many Emersons do you own?

After buying 4 in one week I promised myself I was done, till I saw this & now its in the mail, is there a pill I can take that will stop this………;););)

Thanks brother. Four in about one month. The 15 and A100 rolled in today. Now I have to exercise a bit of patience ( unless I can hunt down an El Bandito:) )

Persians are sweet, though I wish they were waved. However, it might ruin the aesthetics.

I actually like the Persian without the wave. I think that putting a wave on it would require a total redesign as the current design has the thumb stud too close to the handle in the open position to allow for the wave.

Thats all i have, want to buy a PUK really badly. No more folders ever tough.

Just curious how many Emersons the average forum member owns?

(the key word here is "average" forum member cause I know some of you have like over 10......:D)

OP, maybe I missed it but I don't think I saw where you fessed up how many you own

You're probably right. That's just me dreaming...

I`ve always had concerns about lock strength, and had some malfunction also with folders (slipping lock, blade play, broken blade) neither of em cause any abuse or stupidity from my side. All of these because what can break down will eventually break down. Sooner or later.

A fixed blade is always open, never have a slipping lock, don`t have to worry that lock wont engage cause pocket lint, even can carry around your neck when naked:) Im not against folders, they are just not for me.

I wish that Mr. E. would manufacture more fixed baldes. I really want a Kandahar one day:)

CQC-7V

Super Raven

Will probably add an ETAK-B in the near future.

Just one CQC-7A that I've owned for approximately 16 hours, but I have a lot more on my list after handling this one. Looking for a CQC-7AW, Mini A100, Mini Commander, Persian, and Gentleman Jim now.

Thirteen at present. I've been trying to decide which ones I like best and then sell the rest. Trouble is I find that I like all of them best.

2 1/2. That is, I have two Emerson combat karambits and one Fox FX599 that has a licensed Emerson wave. I'm thinking about getting either a Roadhouse, a CQC-15, or a ZT0620CF. Will probably do that within the next month or so. IMG00042-20130718-2140.jpg

Update: Well I decided I didn't want to wait 6 months for the ZT0620CF, and there weren't any Roadhouses in stock at BladeHQ. I could have bought one on the Emerson site and then just used the points toward a karambit trainer whenever they eventually come out, but I decided that I actually like the CQC-15 a little better than the Roadhouse, so went for it. I know it has that slight recurve, but it's no big deal and I think the handle will fit my hand a little better. So now I have a new knife on the way!

And actually, I have the Fox FX599 trainer so the two Fox karambits count as one Emerson, maybe? Anyway, make that 3 or 4 Emersons and counting.

This is in response to "what is a JohnnyMac Journeyman?"

It's not an official knife. My nickname is Johnny Mac, and as they do not offer a larger Journeyman than the standard, and I like 4" blades the most, I belt-sanded down the hump on my CQC8 and it pretty much looks exactly like a regular Journeyman, but longer in blade length. Looks great, actually.

It turned out so well that I had to resist buying a Christmas Journeyman, because I already have that angle covered so closely.

Love the digicam, though. And now they seem to be sold out, kinda wish I would have gotten one.

But that would be like cheating on my existing girlfriend, just not right. My knife doesn't need a replacement, and I did the same treatment on my Horseman so it looks like a Mini-Journeymen. I sometimes carry it when I ride my motorcycle around town, which is rare, but it's smaller than the larger one.
