CQC-7 STONE WASH W/WAVE
CQC-7BT W/WAVE (GIVEN TO YOUNGER SON)
CQC-8 BT CE W/WAVE HORSEMAN (PUT ASIDE FOR MY DAUGHTER)
CQC-8 BT CE W/WAVE

CQC-8 SF PE W/WAVE
CQC-11 PE BT W/WAVE
CQC-11 CE BT W/WAVE
Commander PE W/WAVE
Commander PE W/WAVE

CQC-7 - My first, thinking about trading it or gifting it to a friend, it never sees pocket time and the blade shape isn't to my suiting for EDC.
Mini-8/horseman - Needs warranty work for super early lockup resulting in lock failures and a good slice out of my left index finger :/
Mini-15 - New with standoffs and my favorite emerson model, one of 4 knives in my EDC rotation. I have owned two of them.

Hi JV nice to see your here.
I have almost 40 Ernie knives on my grail. Not any one pimped just want to keep it as original.
Anyway I always thought I would pimp some of them if I have available time. :)

New to Emersons, just have one :) Love the ergos, still considering the F&F...

I think Edwood's post about the Persian vs the Bedlam sold me on the Persian.

Persians are sweet, though I wish they were waved. However, it might ruin the aesthetics.

That same thread is what started me on the hunt, and I've gotten a few of them and have ended up with one that Nath has for some customization :)

My nickname here at home is Johnny Mac, and I wanted a Journeyman when they first came out as I loved the look but did not like the fact that it had such a short blade.

So I broke out the belt sander and took the hump off the tip of both my CQC8 and my Horseman, which I carry while riding my motorcycle as it's a little smaller than the regular version.

Thus, my "Johnny Mac Journeyman," meaning the larger one, the regular CQC8.

It is my favorite knife of the 40+ I currently own, and sorry to confuse some folks with the name!

JMK is jonnymac44 aka Jon McCargar.
Johnny Mac is jmclfrsh, who did the work on his own Emerson.

Nice pile. I'm up to around 10 or so
GJ x1
7 Mini x1
Horseman 8 x2
15 x1
10 x1
Super 8 x1
Super 7 x1
A100 x2
I know I'm missing one or 2. I'll have to look. I can say that my most used has been the 15 and the mini 7. Love them both, and I still have a ways to go.

I am confused. Maybe you can explain it to me better because I am a bit slow here.

You took a blade off of a CQC-8 and put it into the Journeyman grip handle?

What did you do with the Journeyman blade? Did you put that into the CQC-8 handle/grips?

And where I was confused is what the Horseman has to do with this blade swap because the Horseman blade is shorter than the CQC-8 . So not sure how this fits in what you did with the Journeyman with the CQC-8 blade?

6 I think, but I am currently broke. So once I make some more knife money I will buy more.
