How many knives do you carry daily?

Spydie Ti Sage - Strong side carry
Spydie Millie - Weak side carry
Triple Eight S.O.L on the keychain

Usually one small edc (sized around a kershaw chill or benchmade mini grip), a larger blade (most recently a BM 943SBK), and a spyderco ladybug H1 on the keychain. Give or take one blade.

3.

1) One small 3inch maximum one bladed knife usually in front pocket for most chores. It also sees the most use.
2) A Victorinox huntsman on the belt.....I use mainly the scissors, the can opener and the built in screwdrivers.
3) Larger knife in the waist band. Mainly for harder cutting chores where I need the extra blade length if there are any work. It usually gets used the least.

I could only carry the huntsman, but I like the slimness of the main knife and to take it out and use it. Also the front pocket one is a carbon blade or something like 154CM or some other new stainless.

The larger blade is used mainly on trips and working in areas where not all the tools are available.

Thinking about it the only knife I really need is a Victorinox Swiss tool (I have one). But variety is the spice of life.

Lately, 3. CRKT Folts Minimalist necker, main folder (Tenacious, AFCK, RAT-1, or Leek) IWB in the appendix area, second folder (Persistence, Mini-Grip, or Byrd Crossbill Serrated) IWB left kidney area or back left pocket.

That depends - and it's quite irregular ;)

My bm707 in S30V has some kind of a season ticket for IWB @ 1-2 o' clock. It doesnt disturb my in any way and i dont put larger folders at that place and since i like it there's no reason to remove it. :)

And then... well. There's usually a 710HS or an Alias I in my right pocket or IWB @ 9 and if i feel like it i'll add a fixed blade like an RC-3 or a 4" custom on my belt @ 3.

So... 1..3 on/in my pants. And then there's the backpack with an SAK and another fixed blade - but they dont count in my book. :P

Help me understand plz. You carry these folders clipped to the waistband of your pants/slacks/jeans on the inside, against your body, with only the clip showing on the outside, under your belt or if no belt, only the clip showing on the outside?

I don't know what he does, but I carry a Spyderco Endura that way, clipped to the waistband of my Carhartt's on the inside, against my body, with only the clip showing on the outside. Always under a belt and just ahead of the right front pants pocket.

I also always carry a Leatherman multitool, but don't remember ever using the blade. And a SAK Classic on a key chain, mostly for the toothpick and tweezers. Sometimes a SAK Farmer, a MooreMaker small trapper, or a CRKT Tribute.

No, I don't NEED all those knives, I just like having them with me.

What I was getting at - I like the idea - is won't parts of the folder poke you in the gut or near your privates when you sit down or bend?

I usually carry a multi tool and a larger heavy duty knife. the multi tool is good for those times when you are tempted to use your knife as a pry-bar or screwdriver. the large heavy duty knife will either be a fixed blade hunting knife, or a buck 110.
