How many knives do you carry?

Normally 2 or three. Left pocket, right pocket, one in backpack (SAK Swisschamp in pack).
More if going to the woods.

But when I go to the next concert in Toronto soon, none.
Could've bag checked it next door, but meet and greet happens prior to that establishment opening. Not gonna miss out on an epic time just to have a knife on me.

I'll just have to claw and gnaw my way through the day like a savage, I guess. ;)
Sometimes you have to go full caveman in order to ensure a successful adventure. :D

I'll forego knife in order to meet them again, and have a great day.

At least you had your staff . 😼

Anime sword would have fit right in , IMO . :p

On my person, I've gotten by with the small SAK on my keychain and my multi-tool for many a long year. Coming back around with the itch, I've added one o' them eeedeeeseee's the kids like, usually some flippity fidgety folder.

In the wilds, it was always usually one good lockback in the front pocket and a fixed on the belt. Kept a few with wrist lanyards for use near water.

Then there's the time I cleaned the car and found upwards of 10. I admit, for a moment, having considered an access system like the Winchester bros., but I quickly remembered that I have children, and often convey them onto school grounds, and also that I don't kill monsters or hunt things as a family business, and it was a Camry.

Usually two, Alox Electrician and Opi 6, both in the RFP. Three if you count the blade on my Micra, which is there mostly for the scissors. I used to carry a third knife, an Okapi biltong or a slip joint. Now, if I carry another knife, it will be a small fixed blade in a pocket.

Typically a folder in my pocket, usually clipped.
A fixed blade or two nearby, in my truck or in a backpack.
GB2 and a CS SRK-C would be a normal carry.

I carry a little Victorinox Mini-Champ or a Signature SD - always. If I'm working on the ranch I'll also carry a folder I can open with 1 hand (like a Buck 112 Auto or Wal-Mart D2 $9 special), and I also wear a Leatherman* on my belt.

(Today's "Leatherman" was a SOG Powerlock.)
. ;-)

Depends on the itinerary; if I'm in my ride, I'll have a selection that will outlive me, if I get stuck away from home. But I'll typically carry a small fixed blade, like my Kizer Little River Bowie, a big boy folder like my Cold Steel Recon 1 XL, and a standard 4" -ish folder. Honestly, I like the inexpensive xl and xxl Kalashnikov automatics for around the house and neighborhood.

If you walk into a mall, and they have a knife shop. You want a good knife, and are willing to spend $250 for something off the shelf..... I'd say if you're already HERE..... that $250 would get you something 1.5x-2x the quality.... just saying

You’re referring to the bodacious?
I don’t know what mall you have, not around here !
What is 2xs the quality for 250 ?

For example.... BM 930 at any local mall or side knife shop $230 plus tax.
You can easily come across a Hinderer(albeit lightly used) here for that amount.
I would confidently say, that Hinderer is between 1.5x-2x the quality than the BM.

It's one of my two Spydies in the right front pocket, sometimes I have my Leatherman Wave on my belt as well, but mostly it lives in my backpack (which is with me almost always) and if I'm on a hike or working somewhere where a knife will be advantageous, I'll have at least one fixed blade with me, size depends on what I expect to be encountering. Yesterday it was a TOPS Tracker, might be a Fällkniven A1 or a Strongarm or a semi-custom fixie.

I also used to have a SAK Explorer in my pack, but that one lives in a kitchen drawer nowadays

Three on me and a knipex cobra. An SAK (compact or Spartan) a slip joint of some type and a locking folder that can be Opinel, Kabar Dozier design folder, BM or Spyderco. Sometimes instead of locking folder its a Case.mini finn or Dozier personal. There's a Rambler on keys. Mini USMC Kabar in door pocket, another Spartan in console. Vaughn half hatchet in the back. So enough.
