I have been putting of gathering them all from different drawers and closets to count them for years, I'm still putting it off...

My estimate is somewhere between 50 and 60.

I said 300+ but I’m not average and the bulk of my accumulation is comprised of vintage knives 1970 and earlier, bought for $10 Or less over the last 40 years.

Yes I am sick but a good kinda sick. ;)

I've got a bunch but hell if I have actually counted. I mean there are knives and there are KNIVES. I've got about a dozen Mora Companions spread around our various "go bags," "break down bags," hiking packs, two in my kitchen, one in each glove box, etc... For the most part, there's also a SAK that dwells along with the Mora in each of those locations. But I don't even really think of SAKs and Moras as KNIVES. They are basic household staples like salt, flour, paper towels, 3-in-1 oil, .22lr ammo, or any other thing that every household should always have on hand.

Once I exclude the knives that are really just staples, the kitchen knives, and the MTs, I have about a dozen. Add all those others back in and I'm probably looking at about 40-50 give or take a little.

... I generally buy a duplicate of a knife I really like, since production is measured in years rather than decades...

Same here. I bought some Imacasa 14" machetes on closeout for $3. each with free shipping. So I bought about 8-10 of them. They are thin but deadly. Since then, I have not seen a single zombie watermelon or cantaloupe creeping near the house.

Here’s a bunch of early Spydercos.

I answered 20-30.

I typically have about 6-12 in the knife chest on my desk, mostly knives I carry plus a couple sentimental ones. The rest of my knives live in specific places, like the glove compartment, various bags, toolbox, etc. -- and I don't really think of some of those knives as "part of my collection" in the same sense as the rest. (And I don't count kitchen knives, although I get why some folks would.)

Somewhere between 50 and 60 I think, only a couple more and I think I will have what I need.
I will probably try to thin the heard slightly as well so it doesn't get totally out of hand, I have some that should be users but that isn't used much at all that I should see if there's any interest in, and then there's those that I really don't use, but probably isn't worth the effort to try to sell. My EDC rotation is around 10 folders plus about 4 fixed blades that get used at least semi regularly.

Some rehandling was done... And tastefully, I'd say...
