How many knives on the person is too many?

Very true!


For everyone else who has a question as to how many are too much, the proper answer is somewhere between 1 and:
a) The number of knives carried that gets you negative attention from local law enforcement, or
b) the number of knives you have to carry before all women now think you are "creepy".
 
I'm too old, fat and bald to worry about women thinking I'm creepy because of how many knives I carry. My good looks have that one covered already :D
 
I carry two usually. It depends on what i carry though, If i choose a knife that has more quality behind it, like a BM blue class, I will carry a "tough" knife if the BM is not tough enough. Lately though, I have been going on a fixed blade carry spree, I am carrying the RC-3 and a folder like BM or Zero tolerance.

I find there really is no need to carry more than that.
 
I always have a multitool and a 4 inch folder. The blade on the multitool gets the dirty jobs, like cutting a mess of electric tape off something. The 4 inch gets all the food jobs, random clean jobs like rope or whatever, and is comforting to have in the pocket, if you know what I mean.
 
I agree with rugershooter, I carry one small sheeple friendly knife and one mid-size folder for me. Beyond that for me falls into the category of embellishment and/or unneeded weight. Others may have different needs, of cours.
 
I always have a necker of some sort on me, and on an average day I might have a big locking folder (Spydie Military), a medium lockback (Case Copperlock), a small lockback (Spydie Ladybug), a Carbon steel blade (Kissing Cranes), a Ti Card in my wallet and once I'm out of the city and in the woods I shed the last three and put on a ... wow, it could be anything but today its a Busse Heavy Duty re-profiled for my needs in a Green w/ Black Flames Kydex sheath from Dave Brown. Most of my friends count on me having 4 - 5 blades at any time. Yes it's very sharp!
 
I don' t think there is ''too much''.Just carry as much as you want/ as much as you can, and if you don' t get any negative attention from law enforcment...then you' ll be perfectly fine.
