• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

How many of you go without a multitool?

I EDC my Vic Spirit and I use it pretty well every day at work. I carry it even when I'm not working. It's so light, I forget it's on my belt.

Kind of self explanatory but was wondering how many of you guys don't carry a SAK or Leatherman type tool in the woods? I've been playing around with different combo's and the full size Wave just isn't working for me. I'm basically going out with a P4 and a Ritter Grip, along with fixed blade etc.

I edc a small stockman or a delica or sometimes a 550HG.

In the woods I carry a alox soldier or farmer (along with a larger knife). I carried the alox soldier for years and never lost it but I do like the "insurance" of a lanyard on the farmer

I've never ever had a need for the pliers unless I'm fishing which isn't too often.

Oh: as somebody suggested, I've also taken to cutting thin strips of duct tape and taping large-eyed needles and small fishhooks into the channels the various tools fold out of in the multi-tool handles. Just another way of having handy gadgets at hand when you need them.

That's a good idea, thanks! Going to the range today, and if you've never worked with the new MOLLE/PALS webbing, a pair of pliers is indespensible!!! The plastic PALS clips most certainly are a pain and you can tear your fingers up pretty bad...pliers really helps to weave them through the webbing. I need to keep a small list of daily uses for my pliers over the next couple of weeks. Biggest adavantage of my Leatherman Charge over my Spirit is the tool bit adapter. I also carry the additional tools and the hex bits are extremely useful at work...mosty for military related gear such as removable iron sights, optics, holsters, knives and sheaths. A few co-worker often need the smaller screw driver bits as well.

I carry a Leatherman SideClip almost everywhere. Very handy for the minimal weight, and a compact package.

I always have a Leatherman Charge Ti and a Swiss Army Knife on me for work or woods. The Charge Ti is even in my bathrobe pocket until that comes off too. TMI for this forum beyond that. Interestingly I had cause to pull out my SAK in the presence of a couple of Swiss clients recently and quickly ended up presented with a pair of perfect SAK duplicates ... modelled in Swiss chocolate! Of course they don't open or cut worth a shit but they sure taste good.
