I carry two... a SAK and a modern folder. The modern folder is what I use most of the time when I need a blade, and the SAK is really more used for its other tools (mostly scissors, screwdrivers, and bottle opener). I started carrying the SAK regularly again a few years back as my job shifted more towards office work. Use of modern folders really wasn't well received by some other office staff, whereas nobody gave a second thought to a SAK. Back when I did more field work, I would carry a Leatherman (on belt sheath). That was also pretty office friendly. I probably could have stuck to that instead of the SAK, but the SAK is much easier to carry.
I have a folding knife, 3.5-4in in my right pocket, because anything less would be uncivilized.
I have a small fixed blade on my belt, left front - generally 2-2.5in blade, used as a backup or for food/lunch tasks, or when I dont want to bust out a big blade
I have a leatherman style CS clipped on my keychain, for use whenever sheeple are around....or when scissors are more appropriate than a knife.
Lately it has been my GEC #25 and my SNG (in my pockets); there's always a SAK Fieldmaster and a CS Recon 1 (4" clip) in my pack. If I could carry a fixed w/o hassle or infraction I would.
I almost always carry 2 blades. Whatever medium-sized modern folder tickles my fancy that day paired with my smaller but still very capable BFC Stag Jack.
Always a Fallkniven juni paired with a lone wolf lobo, Al Mar sere, super cqc8,561,301st,ultratech,dpx t3. Th juni is sheeple friendly with its 2.8"blade. 3g steel is phenomenal stuff. Never seen such an edge. As for the others, I like em
Today carry:
Dendra Typhoon (large folder, in my jacket)
Böker Beauty (small fixed blade, in my jeans)
Victorinox Pioneer (in my jeans)
Victorinox Minichamp Alox (on the keychain)
Victorinox Deluxe Tinker (in the backpack)
I usually have a proven, reliable folder along with whatever knife I've added to my collection last that I want to test out before adding it to the proven and reliable list.
I carry a tiny Swiss Army knife in my wallet and a main blade clipped to my pocket. The reason is because sometimes a little blade is useful and the Swiss army comes with other little things and doesn't add much bulk.
