how many people carry 2+ knives for EDC?

I always have a convexed ESEE "Izula II" in my urban survival kit and a Wenger "Evogrip S557" in another pouch (both live in my pack). I usually have something in my pocket as well; recently either a CS "Holdout III" or a Queen "Cattle King."

If I'm coaching, I there's a Victorinox "Swisstool Spirit" on my belt.

SMF DGG in various configurations in a belt sheath opposite a Lenslight 2 cell in a belt sheath
by the same maker. I have recently added a Benchmade SOCP dagger to left front cargo pocket though
so that brings my knife count up to two. It is sometimes alternated with a BM L/E infidel.

SAK Classic because it has scissors and does not alarm people (on keychain), SAK Spartan (belt sheath), lockack folder (right hand pocket)

Usually two - a mini multitool on my keychain which has a little blade, then a folder clipped in my pocket.

The multitool gets used mainly for its bottle cap lifter and flathead screwdriver (aka mini prybar/fingernail scraper). The folder comes out for basically all my day to day cutting tasks, but there are rare occasions where i find myself without it. However my keys are always with me, even if I run out of the house in workout clothes or a bathing suit etc - so it serves as a backup blade that's always available. Plus since that multitool blade rarely gets used, it's always razor sharp, even on days when my lockback has gotten a lot of use and is dulled up.

I like to have a large to medium folder on me plus a smaller folder with serations and sometimes one more randomly if I'm feeling like it

When I'm at work I have a mini multitool in a cargo pocket for fixing random stuff around work, a big locking folder that just gets used for big tasks or when I need a long blade for eating with, and a cheap, medium sized traditional 2-3 blade folder in a shirt pocket for regular stuff and the rare occasion someone wants to borrow a knife and I actually let them. It gets abused a little because of the low price, but I like the way a traditional feels so its what I use. Also at work I carry a Mora Electrician for use as a box cutter, but its just used for opening and breaking down boxes since its faster than opening a folding knife.

At home or out and about, I swap the Mora and mini multitool for a "belt knife;" like a big multitool or occasionally a fixed blade. Sometimes I carry a large folder in a belt pouch instead though. I carry multiple knives because they're for different uses, but also because its just fun to. I think a big part of it is "why the heck not?"

There's also a Gerber Shard on my keychain, that thing gets used a lot. Definitely one thing Gerber did a good job on making.

I live in a good place that is full of bad people.

"Ye though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil... because I'm the evilest mother#####r in the valley."

(Quote engraved on a zippo lighter of a grunt in Vietnam)

Charlie Mike every time you post your EDC's someone is surprised that you carry two blades so large, but I get it. Bad people show up in the strangest places at the strangest times these days. Anyone who can't carry a firearm should do whatever they feel necessary to protect themselves, and even with a firearm a knife is a good thing to have. Just being armed puts you ahead of the curve when someone is expecting a helpless victim.

An armed society is a polite society and all.
