Are you somebody that sticks with the same knife/knives all day long?
Or do you switch them out during the day for more variety?

Working in the shop I always have my TL-29 or my modified Lionsteel caplifter Barlow (I'll post up a picture sooner or later...).
Then off to my "real" job there's something clipped in my pocket and a 5"petty paring knife that's always in another pocket as well.
So 3 for the day usually.

I've got some beautiful knives that cost me over $200, and a few that are in the $80 to $120 range, but for the last few weeks, I have been carrying an inexpensive Victorinox Tinker. Not crazy about the plastic scales, but nothing else is as handy: two knife blades, three screwdrivers, bottle opener, can opener, awl, tweezers, toothpick, etc. It's more useful than my first knife over 50 years ago, which was a camp or scout knife.
The only other knife I sometimes throw in my pocket in the evenings or on weekends is my Opinel No. 8, the basic beechwood and carbon steel version. Paid $15 or $17. It is my favorite knife at the moment, but just not as useful as the SAK.

I don't actually carry a knife at home. When I leave the house I'm pretty much stuck with what I have in my pockets. Then when I get back home I'm not carrying again. Same knife/knives all day long for me.

same, my knives are all around me at home, theres no need to physically have one clipped to my side or in pockets when home.

I typically carry two knives every day. I don't generally change anything up during the day. For that matter, I'll generally stick to the same two for weeks at a time. In recent weeks, the automatic first choice is my Case 6375 CV stockman, and the secondary a Buck 111.

I use the '75 stockman more than any other knife I own - that isn't likely to change in the foreseeable future for me. But the secondary carry is sometimes the one that gets traded out once in a while, on a whim.

I typically carry one traditional knife, and one of those... other kinds of knives that we don't talk about here. I switch knives on different days, but typically, once I pick a pair, I stick with those. My usual rotation includes these lovlies (really 80% the 2015 BF CSC), though my (unpictured) 2019 Lambsfoot has been getting a lot of pocket time lately.

For the last year+, I seem to carry the same knife or couple of knives for months at a time… till I order something new. If I like the new one, it will occupy my pocket for months; if not, I’ll move it along and stick with the previous.

I keep telling myself I need to switch things up more often, but I haven’t done it lately.

I have lots of knife thoughts during the day about different knives and switch 2 or 3 times daily if I'm home. But if I am to busy to worry about switching knives I will carry the same knife several days.

Generally I carry the same three all day, sometimes for days or weeks at a time. Depending on my mood, I might swap out one or more of the three for a different knife of the same pattern, and/or add a canoe, or Barlow, or a Sunfish, in the morning.

If I know in advance I'll need a specialized knife, such as a Marlin Spike, or a sheepsfoot blade that's larger than what's on my stockman, I'll drop the more appropriate knife in my pocket before leaving my room.

If I ever need a fixed blade, I keep a Mora Number 1 in one of my rolators, and a CS FINN BEAR in the other, for the off chance my Buck 110 or Old Timer 7OT on my hip isn't up to the task. (Hasn't happened yet, but you never know ...)
