How Many?

Wow...just got done reading this thread:):)

Just gonna say this once....Let's keep this on track and I do not tolerate name calling and nit picking so let it go people:):)

A lot of the starch is gone from the whole Hog thing anyway, and I'm sure that's as the good folks at Busse intended. The list wasn't updated after '07, the year I was inducted, and it's gone from the Stickies and Hammy's list of important threads. Being a Hog has changed over the years, and I don't think that's a bad thing. The community ought to be about the people and the knives. I've met some fine people here and am glad to call them friends. And I own some nice knives to boot. That's enough for me.

But c'mon Lycosa. ONE Game Warden? :D :p

Good post, man of Kayak.
Guyon--- When Jerry sends me my chisel ground Busse, my Busse count will be on the way up again. ;) :D

You've lost your place in line, I'm next on that chisel grind :D

As soon as I get my hooves on it, I'll take plenty of pictures.

HOGS--- There's been a lot of knife movement here. I'm down to ONE Busse.
Anyone else move any INFI?

Yeah, I've moved at least 50 in past 6 months. I kept a CS Cultie, and SFNOLE.

Like you Rolf, I'm also trying to simplify my life a bit. I'm also focusing on the thinner to medium thickness knives that I love so much.
A .150 Boss Street, or .187 Boss Jack would get me back in the game.

I understand Kenny.
Too many was taking the fun out of this knife-thang.

I agree with Guyon. ONE GW??:eek:

That's ... just wrong.:(

I've never been much of a collector, at this point i've owned around 20 busses, but have never owned more than 4 at a single point and time. I generally buy one, beat the hell out of it, see if it does what I need it to do, if not, then sell it at a loss.

Ideally i'd own one in every size range and be happy with it, the b11 is my chopper, but I would probably like one heavier chopper. The KZII is out of my price range on what i'm willing to pay for a factory released coated blade. I'll probably end up with an FFBM again. I wouldn't mind another HOGFSH either. I am really considering a thick game warden and another CG ASH-1 though. I've got too many things I'm interested in currently. I've sold knives for Camera equipment, and there's a rifle I want, so knives go on the backburner

Mike, I am with you. I started out in Busse as a pure user kind of guy. Then models came out that I had to have. Then I couldn't make myself use a brand new satin finish knife that I had another 'user Busse' already broken in for that same size/purpose.

But, I can't seem to let any of them go. My perfect situation would be doubles of everything I have...not for resale purposes or anything like that. Just one to be my 'original copy' and one to get beat on and modified. Kind of like photography, you always have your original to come back to when you have gone through different moods in 'editing'...:)

Jamie--- Could you send me one of your Busses? Anyone will do. Then, I'll have two Busses... Brother. ;)
:D

Don't get me wrong, I plan on buying a lot more, it's just right now I have a lot of expensive hobbies, some new (photography, good lord is it expensive!!!) and some old (guns, not the cheapest hobby) so right now out of those things, cutting down to the basics, knives need the least variety in what I need to own. I'm about to buy the 105mm nikkor micro/macro, there goes 900 dollars, it adds up fast so knives are on the back burn burner for a bit.

Photography is not cheap if you buy the best you can afford. Its worth it though. :)

Can't wait to see your macro shots. You will love that lens.
