Hard to say...a lot, that's for sure. I shoot .45, .38/357, .308, 12g and of course .22lr.
My brass stockpile, empty, for .308 weighs around a hundred pounds, I think. Might be more like 200.
I have enough .357 brass to fill a .50 cal ammo can. I don't know how much .38 I have because I haven't been using it as much. A lot more than I have of .357. I probably have 2 cans of .45.
I don't really stockpile shotgun ammo so I never have more than a few hundred rounds of that. I buy .22lr by the 5000 round case and I don't know how many I have off hand...more than 2 and less than 5.
I don't really worry about saying this on the internet, because anyone who's paying attention knows who's armed and prepped anyway. I'm also on Frugal's forums, and there are all these guys there who talk guns constantly, and then say things like "I lost all my stuff in a boating accident! don't tell anyone you have anything" in threads like this. Yes, no one will ever crack your impenetrable code! Good job!
My neighbours (that don't already know because they're my friends anyway) would never go on a forum like this, figure out who I am, that I live down the street, that I have guns and ammo and food and water, and come get them. There is just no way that they are that organized, or that they could track down enough people from internet forums that live close by to make it worthwhile.
That leaves the government, who a) are probably less organized than my neighbours and who b) must know that I have a lot of guns because I have to register everything anyway. If they can't figure out that I'm likely to have a lot of ammo as well...I think it's probably safe to assume that they can't figure out how to connect the dots on threads on internet forums. If they can, they don't need the forums to figure it out.
Besides which, this could easily all be pointless internet bravado anyway! For all most of you know, I own a daisy airgun and no pellets and just like to sound prepped.
