how much are YOU willing to spend on a knife? Just curious.

$275 for a Swamp Rat Chopweiler. It was worth every penny. I want a Busse Battle Mistress and about $650 will be all I would go.
 
Up to $700.00 for most but I am considering a made to order once in a lifetime custom and for the right one I have set a $2500 cap. And yes I will carry and use it.

I haven't broken $200 yet...that will change when I grow a pair and finally buy a chris reeve...

If I was a right handed knife user, I would probs at some point drop the $650 on a hinderer...that might take a while though since I would have to work up through some CRKs first....a lefty seb is on my future horizon at some point.

That's exactly how I feel, except my needs will be covered by 700ish. It will also be a user whenever I pull the trigger on it. I'm not big on fancy embellishments or scroll work. I like more of a modern, clean design.
 
I've ended up with a few knives in the $400 range now and although I still question my reasoning from time to time all of them are consistently my favorite users and I can't imagine not having them. Usually if I want a folder in that price range I like to trade an existing folder for it. I don't like having too many real high end knives at any given time. Its funny though, as someone above stated, I doesn't get to me when I buy 2 $100-$200 knives in a month but those big purchases sometimes do.
 
Seems like $100 is about the range, though I went to $150 on one in december and I see all kinds of temptations in the $200 range. I can't spending more than that right now. Especially with all the good values in Becker's and Esse's out there.
 
well right now mines about 500. i've got my eye on a CRK large regular right now that around 450. my normal range is 100-250 ish depending on th knife.
 
If only I could afford it, I would probably max-out at around $500,000.00 USC

The most I have spent so far was $220.00 :D
 
$1,200, $1,600 (x2) & $2,400 have been the biggest. At least a dozen others just below $1,000.

It's good to be single. :D

for me its not about willing and more about able. if i had a couple grand to blow, i could see myself getting a custom

however i don't. so i only spend what i have
