How much mineral oil can a KLVUK asare handle drink?

Apparently BLO is added to paint to make it more durable and give it a shinier texture. Sounds like the thing to do is add some to the handle after the mineral stabilizes. So I will wait. It protects metal as well. The inside of the can is nice and shiny:D

BLO polymerizes much more quickly than LO. The polymerization (linking together of the molecules) is what gives the tough, varnish-like coating.
 
I got my kukri sitting in boiled. I saw someone else used Boiled and its fine. I did see that the handle is drinking it up as I went to work this morning.
