How much snark could a snarksnark snark if a snarksnark could snark snark?

In other news, Ang recently discovered that since the price of eggs at the grocery store has gone up again, it's the same price (or sometimes a bit cheaper if you bring them old cartons to re-use) to get them farm-fresh from local producers. So check that out locally... but be warned, once you get used to "real" eggs, the bland tasteless ones from the big chain stores will never seem good enough to you.

My wife got 16 pullets, although one is looking like it might be a rooster, so we should have plenty of eggs one they start laying in 8 or 10 weeks. Looking forward to that!

Gonna goof around in the yard a bit, take Sabbath to a park on the water and have a picnic, and ship a couple knives. Possibly build a fire in the pit tonight. I don't know "exciting" any of that stuff is, but we like it ;)

Hopefully one of those is to me! :)

My exciting plan is to get a nap when I get home from work! Then take the kids to the park when I wake up!

Kids are always exciting!

Mostly just straightening up around the apartment and trying to finish editing the BK4 video. Tomorrow though I'm going out shooting with a couple dudes and one of them just got a Barrett .50, the other is into old antique firearms. His favorite is his "broomhandle" Mauser pistol with detachable stock. Not sure if he's going to bring it but I sure hope so.

So are guns! Those sound like some good ones.

Omelet eaten, second cup of coffee finished, time for work on the yard.

Can't even meet women in this town to begin with, let alone get in a relationship to get dumped. Besides, all you married guys ever talk about is how to get the ol' ball-n-chain to let you buy the next new toy. Meanwhile, I'm buying guns and knives and going off in the woods and playing video games whenever I want. I think ya'll is jealous. :)
I've met women in my town, I can officially say I'm done with them! Women in St. Louis are some of the most trifling, ignorant, self absorbed creatures I've met! My philosophy on the whole married vs single thing is make sure which ever one you are, you're happy with! Even though right now I'm in BigHoss' camp, I got one foot out the door... But I'm happy with it!

Yep!

And good morning to all ! Having some coffee, then time to make omelets for breakfast, then work outside finishing up the bird netting for the chicken coop area.

Anyone else have exciting plans?
Just catching up on housework and paperwork right now. Just finished my first cuppa and some breakfast casserole. Getting ready to throw another load of laundry into the washer, fold the stuff I took out last night, and then play some video games before going out tonight. Taking Miss to a concert so I'll be having fun.

Big party today. Our welcome home party, housewarming party, daughter's belated birthday party.. all combined. 50 something people on their way.... Its raining like a bat out of hell and lighting is the only light poking through the clouds.... Going to ruin some plans for the day if it doesnt clear up soon. Is what it is i guess, good thing the grill is under a pavilion, father already started grilling.. Just doing hamburgers and hotdogs.... BUT.... 100 hamburgers and 100 hotdogs...

But right now the highlight of the weekend so far is finding Black and Tans in walfarts.

Helped my father build a kayak rack this morning. Holds 6 kayaks. Pretty cool the way he did it. Ill get pics later.

Stay busy round here. Got 3 shades darker in 2 weeks HAHA!! Need to invest in SPF 1500 or something :D
Sounds like you're having a ball man! Enjoy it, you've earned it!

Kids are always exciting!

But they are more fun making them, than raising them!

Yeah we've been looking into building a coop back by the garden. We can only have 4 hens because of zoning, but that's a good start. NCslice raises laying hens; he told me to start with pullets too for various reasons.

Hopefully one of those is to me! :)

Indeed it is

Finally home, got in late last night, coming back from eastern TN. Long couple days of travel but worth it, got to see my brother and spend time with him, overall a good couple days.

No I need to repack, heading to michiagn tomorrow for NOAC

Not me. My wife likes knives almost as much as I do. ;) She loves the great outdoors too. You just have to find the right one is all.

Sometimes I get jealous of all the freedoms of single men. But then I realize how awesome I have it with my wife and no longer care. I still get toys, just one per year... At the same time I get an awesome family. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Whichever side your on is the better one ;)

Glad your bro likes his knife Springy. I think my brother in law will be getting one for his birthday.

I hope no one got the wrong idea thinking that I'm not happy with my life or with my wife. I just meant I'm jealous that I can't have guns. But I'm no different to any other Aussie. I love my beautiful wonderful wife, who is just the most incredibly amazing woman and I'm super excited about staying a family with her. She loves that I love knives and encourages me in my hobby. But I also grew up around firearms that my dad owned but then the guvvenm'nt decided we weren't allowed to have em anymore. So now I can't go shooting recreationally and my kids won't get to have fun like I did when I was young..

Thanks TBL! Yeah I can't believe how much he digs it. I think I'm going to have to get him more. The force is strong in that one..

So, without getting crazy political, how did that happen? Government passes law. All citizens must turn them in at certain locations. Citizens comply. Easy peasy - no more guns in homes?

Should be interesting if they try that here...

Best get some practice in.. I was planning on going plinking anyways. :D

So I am not really into folders, but this one has got me all wound up.

Port Arthur massacre in 1996 prompted the government to render all auto and semi auto firearms illegal and offered a buy back. Then they made it almost impossible to obtain a firearms licence after that. You can still get one, you just have to have a really good reason as to why you want it i.e. farmer, your job requires it etc.

I saw the Tree Frog on BCUSA, not really digging it. I guess it's kinda neat but I don't see much point.

Indeed it is

We originally got 14 pullets shipped from the breeder. They ship the day they are born, but they are sexed, so in theory they are all pullets and no roosters. We got them from the post office the next morning, but one of the Amercaunas died that night. They offered a credit or replacement, but no shipping of just one chick, so we decided to go pick up a replacement plus two more Amercaunas to keep her company. These are the ones that lay "Easter eggs"...bluish-green in color. All the others are brown egg layers - two each of Rhode Island Reds, Dominiques, Black Astrolorps, Partridge Rocks, Buff Orpingtons, and Delawares, plus the (now) four Americaunas. It's looking like one of the Delawares may be a rooster, but we won't really know for several more weeks or potentially a month or two. Buying them as sexed pullets doesn't guarantee a pullet, but they have a pretty good average for getting it right. And it certainly won't hurt having a rooster to help protect the flock. The 13 from the first batch are a little over 8 weeks old, so they won't start laying for 10 more weeks or so.

Great to hear I've got an inbound package!

Good points all around!

Working on a 16 GAW, thread will be up soon...

Throw in some burgers and I'm in!
