how much $$ you have in knives

I really don't want to know :) but I know it's over 5k euros, which is appr. $7500

I think that the moment you have to calculate the total 'worth' of your collection, you have lost the point.

All of it! I am now at the point where I'm trying to decide whether to sell some knives to buy more knives, sell some knives to buy another gun, sell some guns to buy more knives or sell some guns to buy more guns- of course, knives don't need optics...

IDK, for sure but I have 78 Spydercos and a few others, many are discontinued so it's just about impossible to say what they'd bring each on the market. I don't plan to sell them so it doesn't matter anyway.

I also don't really like thinking about it either, but I've pressed, I'd have to say at least 5 to 6 grand, which includes spears, hawks, swords and ,of course, knives. The most I've ever spent on one item though, is $500.00 for a sword and never more than $300.00 for a knife.
I've obviously spent enough money to have a handful of very nice sharp items but I'm no steel snob and I'd rather have a lot of items I like, rather than a few that garner respect from others, but which I'd probably be too afraid to actually use.

Apparently not enough

I'd love to know how much is enough! I can't seem to see that particular light at the end of the tunnel.

As addiction's go I try to comfort myself that it's less than a drug addict is pumping into his arm.:) And it least won't evenutally kill me.

I'm around 7K. Sometimes I wonder if it would have been better to put that money into a car. If I had never bought all these knives, however, that would mean living in ignorance to the difference between a quality knife and piece of crap. That would never do.
This hobby has taught me the difference between quality and common, and I've seen some of the best examples of businessmen that you will ever find. Overall the experience is well worth the investment. Just don't let it control your life.:p

i'm guessing around €1000 (1400$) my bm mini rukus was bought in amsterdam on a holiday for 250€ :D(parents payed it ;))

Off the top of my head I'm guessing I have about a $1,000 worth currently, though I've spent way more when you figure in knives I've sold and traded to buy the next latest and greatest. Most I've ever spent on a single one though would be $200

I'm somewhere between 2 and 3K. Sure, when you guys add it all up it looks like a lot, but think about it. $5000 worth of knives offers a whole lot more fun and value than $5000 worth of car.

That helps me look at it and not feel bad. Yes, it IS an INVESTMENT. If not for a return in $$$, at least a return in joy and satisfaction with a bunch of well-made items.

~1k... hope to keep it there... not investment, tools to be used by me. So i'll buy/sell and trade, if I like one alot I keep it and use it, otherwise I sell it off..
