how much $$ you have in knives

I just did pics and a spreadsheet the other week to keep track of everything. I have right at $2,000 in knives as of January. I've really only been collecting for about 2 years and I'm kind of settled for right now.

I came up with the idea that I was spending too much money on guns so I should move to knives and flashlight. Now that I have a ton of knives and flashlights I'm going to move back to buying guns.

It's a vicious cycle.

Well, if I don't count the vintage african spears, the antique european sabres, the two paleolithic handaxes, the bronze age afghanistan dagger, the neolithic flints, the cheapo chinese, the obsidian and the kitchen stuff it only amounts to a couple of hundred euro's.
And then of course I'm not counting....

Second try: "Good evening group, I'm Habbekuk and I have a knife problem."

Only $600 in about 10 knives. I've only been buying them for a couple years though. (other than those that I got as a kid)

I felt THAT was a lot. When I learned about Bladeforums, I had to join, as this is the place to go to see some people with a REAL sickness. :p

Slightly over 2,000 but thats in 5 years so I am doing pretty well. Don't even own a Sebenza yet.

At least $35. That's as far as I'm going with this line of thought.

~$1K give or take, most of that is 3 knifes.

I wonder what JAXX would answer. I think he has more invested in the storage facility to keep all his blades then has been mentioned here so far.

I dont even want to think about it......my wife says if I buy 1 more knife

she is going to divorce me....God Im going to miss her!

Yes it is... vicious. I was around five hundred or so in knives until I bought a Sebbie last week. Now I want a large sebbie to keep my small company.

The goal is no new guns this year and only training/IDPA. We'll see how that goes!

I try not to tally up the actual total value of my knives, but (if going by MSRP value) I carry around about $500 in knives on my person every day. :o

Maybe $1,500 overall, including $400 in one stinking Busse! Probably about $500 in 8 Spydercos. (Hi Sal & Jerry!) The rest in Benchmade, Victorinox, and misc. For some reason I end up buying Spyderco products after long deliberations.
