Just under 2k. This threads dangerous. Bringing people to realization of their habit. lol Cheer up guys! Remember our knives are like assets, an investment that is liquid maintaining much of their original value!
 
I just had to do an estimate for insurance, and found my house and car together are worth less than my blade collection, no wonder I am always broke
 
From day one, I've kept an Excel spreadsheet with every knife related purchase. Trying to wrestle the summation box under 1k atm.

Actually I think the single thing I left out was a bottle of mineral oil. Technically it's a laxative :cool:

I keep it organized, have a nice overview, plus lots of photo's :D

Just $600, but I have a few knives that are worth a lot that I found/was given. If you add those up it's probably a little over 1K.
 
if you have to think about the money you have spent on knives/guns/tools , you probably cant afford em anyways. stay on the porch. :D
 
I never even thought about it...

but just a WAG, more than I have in fishing gear, and I have lots of that, but much less than I have in firearms...

I am new to the wonderful world of shiny, pointed objects and yet I have two folding blades next to me right now that total $850. I'm going to have to be very careful about this steel addiction of mine.
 
over 20 k waiting on a Jack Levin and expect to pay 16-18k for that alone.:eek:

$900 or so. Many were bought here in the forums. I'm not a collector like most here. I have a rotation for EDC and some fixed for camping/hiking and a BOB. No safe queens for me.

+1 too much, but I don't think I'm finished quite yet.

The good news is knives keep their value a lot better than computer equipment like video cards or the latest CPU/Motherboard/Ram combo.
