How often do you change your EDC?

I seem to use one maybe 2 during the week.
When I have a big delivery at work and need to break down boxes I'll pick a newly sharpened one, or maybe a beater.
On the weekend I'll usually have one of 2 or 3 beater/garage/yard knives on me and then a nicer one when I go out.

So, I'll say I use 3-4 knives a week.

How many you go through?

I pick my EDC for the week and carry something different for Saturday and Sunday.

Waiter has been a constant in the dining table for Christmas since I was 7 y.o.
It's so handy for everything

Enough that I have to drop the E from EDC. I rarely carry a knife for more than 2 days in a row.

For my multitool, well I just switched from the Skeletool to Charge AL after 4 years of it being in my bag and being carried/used almost every day.

My traditional slipjoint changes, perhaps, every 6 months. Perhaps.

My LM Style CS is on my keychain.

The last two are not suit carried, that's a little slipjoint, suit worn on Saturday only.

It varies. Some times I carry a knife for 4 years, and others for weeks, months or I will change it to something else.

I usually change my knife about twice a week. The ones that see the most pocket time are BM Bedlam, ZT 0200, Boker Resurrection, Buck 110 Elk, Buck 110 vintage, and CS Spartan.

I used to switch combos daily, but I've cut (get it?) my carry knives down to 1-2 per month, or at least until I get something new. A Strider PR clip point is my EDC, and I occasionally carry my PM2. When I'm in the woods (or doing yard work), I bring my Busse NMFSH and the Strider. I don't really use any of my other (way nicer) stuff, simply because this is what I've settled into. I wish I could've settled into this $3k ago :D

My Protech TR-5 SA is my main EDC. At the in-laws for turkey dinner and all the trimmings :)
I'd switch it up with my Rat Worx MRX or Infidel if autos were legal (to carry) here.

I carry the same knives every work day. Weekends is when I mix it up.

Where's all the photos?

Here's my rotation. The small Case knives are in my pocket most of the time. I find those two little guys to be perfect everyday users at least for my modest purposes.

I just need a mnandi and another wharnie slipjoint, I think I'm good in terms of my set of user blades.

I think if a knife is truly EDC, you truly EDC it, emphasis on E.

In which case sadly I don't have a true EDC knife. For a long time it was a Buck Bantam, managed it over a month. Nowadays it's a Kershaw, really hoping to see if I can EDC it for real.

It's ok to rotate a group of everyday users, no? Eg. If a selection of 5 knives get carried once a week for a year they should count as an edc rotation.

The last year or so I've tried to rotate or edc other slipjoints but I always end up back at the two Case knives.

Which is a toughie as you see so many womerful carry options on the forum it makes me want to join in the fun. But at the end of the day I end up really focused on smallish clip points and wharnies to edc.

The other knives are for weekend carry or around the house, 2 of which are recent gifts.

Leatherman in a pouch w a flashlight on my belt always for the last few years. Just upgraded to a wave from a wingman. Used to carry a pocket knife but found it redundant

Sure. I'm sorta trying to find my absolute favorite so that I can carry one for a long time and make it a "tried and true old friend," as it were. I'd like to eventually have a knife like that. I keep switching between two favorite Kershaws the past several weeks though, they're even somewhat similar, yet I find them both so nice to carry I switch (and for the most part I only like to carry one knife at a time.)

I had a knife that I carried from the 1970's, then when it was lost I bought a LCC/DA and have carried it since. I find what I need/like and I stick with it.
As you can see it has a few dings from carrying it for over a decade....

This is funny. My brother is the exact same way. He likes to carry autos, but I try to introduce him to other knives for his bdays. What does he do? He says thank you he loves the knife and then it goes right into his gun safe.

Instead he has a fondness for a beat to heck $30 Boker Ak47. He likes what he likes! I'm gonna get him to carry a Protech one of these days.

I go into the safe and switch knives when I swap out the Rolex Deepsea for the Omega PO chronograph... Usually every 3 days.

I swap between 4 different work knives (similar blade shapes) because I use them a lot at work

Out of work I kind of do a blind grab and pocket that till I feel like it's time for something different

I alternate based on my activity and clothes I wear. I like to EDC a utility fixed blade on my days off from work. My work knife is always a Spyderco Endura because it's reliable and I lose them in the chaos of responses or break them. If I'm going somewhere where I shouldn't edc a fixed blade, I rotate folders in no particular order, mostly what I feel like playing with that day.
