How Sharp is the knife in your PSK???(Very graphic)!!!!!

Just a quick update. I ve gotten the stitches removed, but a bit too soon and my cut opened back up some. Its healing from the inside out now, with a few butterfly closures over it. Ill post the final pictures soon. To answer a few questions, I was able to walk afterwards, but I would have definitely had it rough in a true survival situation. Thanks again guys for all the support.

And so it ends well.

I'd like to say "I've never seen anything like that!"

But my Daddy raised me to tell the truth ... :o

we could all learn from this. It only takes a second to make a mistake and get hurt.

Glad your healing dude

Yeah, that's one scary looking field wound if I say so myself! Not one I'd want to incur afield that's for sure! I make sure that i watch the arc of any sharp instrument before I take the swing, be it hatchet, ax, or mere knife. Yes, a glancing blow can occur, but generally if things are thought out before you begin working with a sharp tool, this can be avoided. Slips and glances will occur, but they most likely won't have the follow through energy like this. Man, 2 hours in the car with the wife driving....I would've told her, "quit yer yappin', turn the car around and take me home so I can cut the other calf!" GRIN! Best wishes for a fast recovery, nice knifenut tattoo like Brian said!

Congrats on having the worst self inflicted knife wound pictured on a knife forum that I have seen! Hope it heals well

Yeah, let's see the guys over at the Busse Forum beat THIS one:D:thumbup: I keep going back and looking at the pictures....purely from an educational point of view mind you:eek:

Ah, Okay! I may print these pics up to show to the attendees at our CT Wilderness gathering in order to remind them that one must be careful of the full arc of the swing when using a sharp knife! :D
