How should Collector Knives sell GEC SFO's

Does the #77 Camel Bone have an end cap ? If so, I don't think I've ever seen a barlow with an end cap :eek:

I have largely stayed out of this thread since the drawings started, though I have kept up on reading in case something changed.

It is a huge bummer that things devolved in the manner that they did and it is an even bigger shame that Mike has had to endure some very poor sports and even worse manners. It is behavior like this that really sours this whole thing for everyone and I really do not envy the job that Mike is having to do after every drawing. I am sure he cannot wait for this to be over and we should all count ourselves lucky if he chooses to do runs like these in the future...

The rules are straightforward and not hard to understand at all, submission is easier than buying a lotto ticket, and the world has not ended by someone not scoring a reservation. Other than finding an easier way to audit the entries, I do not know of any better way to make a drawing fair. You simply cannot please everyone; collector, user, enthusiast, or all of the above. Just like in life, you win some and you lose some.

Thank you, Mike, for putting up with all of our shenanigans and bad manners. I hope that despite all of this hubbub, the end result (being the produced knives) will be at least somewhat worth it.

You have a window into the darker side of human nature, Mike. May you have wisdom and justice to decide well! I don’t envy you, but I’m thankful for your efforts.
 
Things change. It was nice when it lasted. If I don't get one, that's fine, it frees up more $$$ for other knives.:)
Now I'm contemplating A Whaler. Even though I do not have a reservation, I'm hoping I'll be fast enough to catch one when they come out.

Yep. I imagine there are lots of issues like this. Before my father-in-law passed away, I used to place orders for both him and I. He was 87, and had no idea how to order something online, much less preorder a knife, so it was all on me. But how could you know that?
 
0 for 3. I am not bummed or even a little bit disappointed. It’s still fun for the hunt.
Most of us have way to many knives to make a big deal of this.
I do think that anyone trying to game the system should have their hand slapped down hard. And I hope that a knife lover who only has a couple of knives get one of these 77s.

Same here. But at least the new #15 preorder with bail and chain will take some of the sting out, if I go 0-4.
