How should Collector Knives sell GEC SFO's

0 for 2 & a pass on the Camel Bone. One more try. I like the low stress factor with this system. Doc says its good for my age :)

Same for me - 0 for 2 except I passed on the red sawcut. Fingers crossed for the ironwood, which was my top choice from the beginning. Good luck to everyone still trying to score, and a huge thank you to Mike for all of his efforts.

Whatever the outcome of this drawing, I can honestly say I've had a lot of fun. To me, it feels like the lottery turns the instant gratification of a knife purchase into a prolonged, suspense-filled adrenaline hit.

But then again, Mike is a knife dealer and I'm an admitted knife addict. ;)

I think elderberry is purple, kind of like fruit juice.........

It's very dark purple with red around the edges / where it's thin. A complex, interesting, and pretty color. Takes me back to my grandparents barn where there used to be elderberry bushes.

I'm pretty happy I got a reserve on one.

I think that's the same color that was used on the recent run of 78s. It's dark in some photos, lighter in others, but it looks like a kind of a deep fuchsia/red color.

I think the bottom knife is a great iteration of what elderberry juice looks like. I think it'd look even better on smooth scales.

I would like to know also. Althought if I was forced to guess I'd say its prob smooth.

Fingers crossed for smooth or saw cut.

I went 0-3 last night as well. Elderberry was the one I was most curious about. I'll try again today, then maybe the 0-4 sympathy round. All good.

Also want to join the chorus of people supporting Mike in all this. He's not only trying to find a fair solution, but getting on here and interacting with the community about it. I've only been into this hobby ~18 months. Thoroughly enjoying it, and these kinds of interactions go a long way toward that.

Nobody noticed it, and I probably should keep my mouth shut.... But I held out 5 camel bone and will hold out 5 ironwood tomorrow for a consolation draw for those that get 4 "Bad News" emails. Wish I would have thought of it from the beginning.

That is class plain and simple.

Talking Stand-bys:
Is it fair to say most will turn into 'reserves', as you, Mike, are taking 'sure reserves' pretty cautiously, and the # of knives you recieve will most likely be higher than the # of current 'sure reserves'?
Wow that was hard to re-read. Does it make sense?

I am allowing 20 standby positions where I know if the factory fills my order I will have 10 knives. So that leaves 10 people on the backend of standby that will take any knives not picked up by the first 125. Those are pretty good odds; while allowing me buffer on any factory problems.

Gec referring to secondary as sheepsfoot.
I thought it was going to be a coping blade.
Not that it's a deal breaker!

Doh!! I opted to use my double-entry (because my entry in the first drawing wasn't counted) on the Ironwood......... then forgot to enter.

Good luck! 4th one is the charm I'm feeling lucky! Carried my Sawcut, clip point form the last run all day!
