The seller may be expecting/hoping you will return the item at your expense and then refund only your original purchase price and original shipping. This plays out all the time on ebay. The buyer ends up eating the return shipping expense and walks away from the marketplace with a bad taste in his mouth warning others of his bad experience, while the seller gets the counterfeit item back to sell to another unwitting buyer. Many people complain about the counterfeit items on ebay and scam sellers both of which are numerous but, from what I can tell, very few put forth the time and effort to actually do anything about it.

Be sure to use ebay's resolution center by selecting the "resolve a problem" option for this item using the reason not as described and specify that it is a counterfeit. All communication with the seller will be documented and become part of the claim if escalated, so use the term counterfeit in your communication when referencing the item and demand that the seller pay the cost for the return shipping. If the seller balks on your demand, escalate your case to a claim when the time limit allows and then offer to ship the counterfeit item to ebay to be destroyed rather than sending it back to the seller. After you get your payment refunded, leave negative feedback for the seller and report every single one of the seller's auctions for the same knife to ebay as a counterfeit item (Report item) and to the manufacturer they are counterfeiting.
OK.....Thanks for the info,,!!!!

Exactly the way to handle it!!

Alright, we have another thread on this exact topic. No need for duplicates, and I think the OP knows what needs to be done.
