How to make a custom knife.. You have never seen a video like this.. I promise..

I could not imagine Mike Snody having any other style then his own...

It would not seem right if he was marketing himself as "Special Ops, Ninja, Cowboy or Blacksmith Scotsman". It would not be Mike Snody if he did not have Everlast in the background as he ground a knife with his gold teeth and talking about his family and giving you his phone number if you need any help in knifemaking.

Gotta love this guy

I just spent the last 48 minutes with my eyes glued to the damn screen, that was easily the most informative bit I've seen since joining this forum. I cannot wait to purchase one of your knives sir, I am highly impressed. Thank you for taking the time to explain how you do the things you do.

Nice man, I met you way back, I think your first time at the Baltimore show, Timonium, that's a while ago, great video!

Mike Snody is the best....tell you what the best is in a minute.

I wish I saw him at more shows....really missed him at The Gathering this year.

The gold bars, the grill, the bling, in many ways....that's persona....he has style....STYLE.....you don't have to like it, heck many of you probably won't....Mike doesn't care.

This is his style, he isn't trying to get your kids to emulate it, although they might, because it is kind of fun.

My style is different, but Mike and I are simpatico, because we both have a style, a clear and definable style and we both came to it our own way, in our own time.

So....what is he the best at?

Mike Snody is the BEST at making his knives in his style. He has influenced quite a number of makers that want to emulate his knifemaking style, and you can always see the influence, but he does it so much better.

He makes a quality product, in fairly good quantity, with consistency and regularity.

He feeds his family, and still has time to chill, make videos and answer the phone in a pleasant and professional manner....and that right there is something that a whole lot of makers should try to emulate.

Good on ya, Mike!

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Much Respect Big Mike! Loved the video, I felt like a kid watching my favorite Sat morning cartoon.... You couldn't pull me away from my laptop with a crow bar! Very informative, love your shop... I think you've got a great set up. You've got mad skills brother and a ton of love for what you do... I'll be giving you a call soon to place an order.

I agree wholeheartedly STeven! Initially, I was somewhat put off by Mike's STYLE, but I have observed his consistency, being true to himself, and making some KOOL knives, with a definite flair in promoting them!

The video shows significant knowledge/skills and an awesome shop to practice them!

MUCH respect for Mike and SNODY knives.

Hope to meet him some time,
Peter

Mike, you are a hell of a guy. I just watched that video and just really appreciate that you took the time to share your knowledge with us. I'll definitely be making some grinding blocks now.

Watched the whole way through. Incredibly interesting and equally informative. Thank you for the great video Mike, this video made me really want one of your knives. I gotta get me some of that "eye protection" to block the hater rays.

Thanks Rob.
I really appreciate your support.
Them Hater Rays will give you something we call Mal de ojo roughly translated it means evil eye.
The first symptom is a sore neck, followed by a head ache.
Best to filter out the Hater Rays before they can do any actual damage and that is where fashion eyewear enters the equation.
Much Respect from Texas.
