How/where do you carry your slipjoints?

Here ya go Ken:

Left front pocket, without a case. Since I use a knife in my right hand, it would probably be more convenient to switch sides, but after 60+ years of carrying a slipjoint, I doubt if I'll change.

Ha, except for the time being about 55 years "ditto"!

I carry a SAK alox cadet in my left front pocket for minor prying/screw tightening, etc chores. It's so slim I hardly notice it's there. In the right front pocket, there's usually one of my Barlows or sometimes a stockman.

I always have either my GEC 13 or bull nose in my left front pocket. The bullnose has a lanyard hole, so I have a short piece of leather lanyard on it to help dig it out of my pocket. I keep a modern folder or fixed blade on me for when I need quick access, but being realistic most of my cutting tasks don't need to happen quickly so my slip joints see most of the work.

RFP and/or watch pocket (if wearing jeans, that is). I've never carried a knife in any sort of sheath. I do tend to try to keep the RFP knife isolated if possible, so the sheath isn't necessary anyway.

I always carry mine vertically in my right front pocket. Since they're mostly between 3 and 4 inches they never bother me. Wearing a suit, I either put the knife in one of the jacket pockets or RFP as usual, depending on the suit.

Does anyone have the different iterations of the Collectorknives slips that can speak to the quality and hand feel of the goat skin vs leather pocket slips (clipped and non)?

Thanks.

The Goatskin is very supple. You could put it in the palm of your hand and crumple it into a ball.
Very nice slip. Unless you want one that retains it shape.

I have three on me right now. Vic Alox Mini Champ on keyring, left front pocket. Case Peanut, coin pocket. Case Medium Stockman - right rear pocket. I got the idea of using my pockets from the phrase "pocket knife."

I used two of the three today. The Peanut is still waiting his turn.

Thanks, I have an order with Collectorknives and I am unsure which slip to go with...

I always put my knives in the front right pocket. When I'm wearing jeans, its either in the watch pocket or sometimes I just throw it into the real pocket alongside my phone which keeps it vertical. But now that shorts weather is coming, I'm gonna use a ck pocket slip. I like how slim it is

I'm not fond of blue jeans but I try to get pants with a clock pocket, mostly chinos, to keep my trusty H&T combo. (that does not prevent from having another blade or two in coat or shirt pockets ;)).
In my messenger bag, a former Stellavox recorder tool pouch to keep pencil and gum (for newspaper crosswords at apéritif time in a casual bistro), fountain pen and - that day - an Ohta in his sheath).

At work I carry a small Lanny's clip in a leather slip in my right front pocket, keeps the knife protected, it doesn't slide around and the leather slip prevents pocket wear on slacks. Weekends I carry a trapper in the watch pocket of my jeans and the small Lanny's clip in the slip still rides in the right front pocket.

If I have a watch pocket, and my knife fits (my Gec #83 always does), I'm golden.

If not, I then have that "Fox, Chicken, and feed" conundrum - only with my Cell phone, keys, and knife.
