Hows this look.

Now I like that! I'd drop it to 2 pins though. Front in the same place, back moved up a little. But that's sweet!

JT..Did you check out Jerry's tutorial on this style handle,he shows 2 pins in the handle along with rear bolsters, and lots of curves..

Heres a cheap method...if ya want to stabilize your own handle material, get some wood hardener from Sherwin Williams, put on a pot of boiling water, get a large heavy duty plastic bag, pour a little, about a 1/4 can for a good set of scales, and put them in the bag with the hardener, when the water is boiling, hold the open end of the bag up and dip the bottom with the scales and hardener in it, the heat will cause everything to expand, and the scales will suck up the hardener, but first be very careful, this product has keytones in it and is highly flammable!!
dont breath the vapors and best done outside, wear your PPE, and good luck

i glanced at it but plan on going through it to night. man i have never felt this way about a knife befor. its like a excyted fealing mixed with scared. like im going to have push the envalope and get to the next level. its like a weird high. im pumped but nerves at the same time.

JT...I Think You got it....This will be a outstanding knife when you finish it...Nerves and excitment is what makes doing what we do so much fun.I have found that when I get this excited about a knife I always end up doing my best work.
Have fun with it..
Good Luck,
Bruce

Now that is an awsome design, It realy apeals to my eye, and I bet if you did a mock-up in soft wood it'd feel good in the hand. Now hurry up and make it!

i was just kicking around the idea of replacing the water buffalow spacer with some more etched wrought iron. what would be a good material for a spacer that would look good with the ivory bark.

That last one DOES look like a good design! Now, as everyone else said, go make the ^&*( thing!

And, of course, post pictures when it's done.

I liked the original but I do preffer the bottom one better. I like the longer blade the point is sleeker to me the other seemed a bit fat but that can be a style choice,. I get a bit excited over sunfifish folders. The curve now also suits my eye.
Well done. I think you have notched up the wow factor.

I really like that design! The changes the guys recommended really make sense, so I bet the design will be a hot item!

if i get some blue ivory i could use some blue dyed box elder burl for the spacer.
