sure like the looks of this knife. seems a bit wide. would like it a bit sleeker, but not a real issue. dislike those wire clips, but other than that. big knife, xhp steel which im a fan of, and big curved blade. looks like a winner.

Hi Jbmonkey,

Feels great in the hand and in use. Jonny Lau's design is most unusual. The G-10 handle is custom made G-10, specially ground to mimic the pattern on the snake it's named for. The story is that once bit by a "Hundred Pacer" a pit viper with an up-swept nose, you can only make it one hundred paces before dying from the venom.

I love the look of it and XHP is awesome.

I'll be getting one this upcoming week (along with a couple other Spydies).

thank you Sir. ill be adding one. love the bigger blade shape too much not to.have one.

Yes, my real concern with this one is that it looks like it will occupy my entire pocket. I love my Spyderco knives, but have been paying more attention to how a knife carries in the pocket.

Personally I love the wire clip.

yep. that kinda one of the reasons id like it a bit slimmer.

yeah most do prefer those wire clips. im one of the rare few that doesnt. doesnt matter though.....wire clip or regular clip has little bearing on being a great knife.

I've only carried it a few times since i've had it but so far i'm liking it. It is a big knife and takes lots of real-estate in the pocket but it's a monster slicer. Like Sal mentioned the G-10 is very unique and has a great texture.

nice. thanks for adding a pic to the thread. early or normal lockup on the liner? thanks.

I want one. This is at the top of my list of want, but don't need, just because it is cool AND a useful looking blade.

I was/am tempted by the Chinook4 - this one might tip the scale towards the Hundred Pacer though.
chinook 4 is really great. think my favorite so far of the new releases....but i go back and forth on a couple depending how i feel. i cant compare to hundred pacer as i dont have one yet.

I love a good trailing point and might buy on just to support the effort to make a big EDC that with aggressive G10 that doesn’t shred my pants pocket ;)
