Just spoke with Mr. K9 Handler. What a swell guy he is. Always a pleasure working with him. We exchanged a few conversations about Mr. Hunter Sharps knife and I think we collectively came up with a much better alternative than just duracoating it OD green. Don't wanna let it out of the bag just yet but this thing it gonna be freekin awesome! (That's what you get HS for giving me free artistic athourity! ;)) Anyway, K9 has received the knife and was already working on it today. Gonna be cool man!
 
Well here's a entertaining update for ya. K-9 has been sending me pics of what's he's doing. (First class like always) in the meantime, I'm trying to match a nice color of brown for the sheath with what he's doing on the knife. No problem right! I'm in Indiana and he is in Conneticuit. Anyway, I managed to drop/bust/spill a brand new 32oz. bottle of leather dye all over the shop floor. Its a real disgrace. It looks like a drunken midget with violent diarrhea ran amuk through my shop. The good thing is, my 8 yr. old son agreed to clean it up if I was to buy him a $3.99 video game for his kindle fire. Its really gonna suck when he gets older and wisens up! :D

I know where you're coming from -- I spilled a 4 oz bottle of medium brown oil dye on the kitchen counter a couple weeks ago -- and discovered that oil dye travels through grout. (also learned acetone cleans dye off the floor but does bad things to the urethane finish)
Now I need to put new false fronts on the drawers where the dye soaked through.

Acctually your wrong Murph. I never told you this before, but I suffer from a rare disorder called midgetitusenourmous. It means that basically I'm a huge midget. Very rare. Its a very difficult disorder to live with. I have endured much discrimination. I was once passed on for the lead role of the Umpa Lumpa on Charlie and the chocolate factory hence ending my acting career due to depression. I would appreciate not being made fun of about it. I'm very sensitive about it...............:D;):rolleyes:
 
O.k. so I spoke with Mr. K9 yesterday. His duracoating job is done and on the way back. In the meantime, the sheath is as good as done and just a few minor details are left before the whole project is complete. (Knock on wood) soon, I will lock this thread and I will post a new one with the completed knife.
