Wow. Very impressive. I usually don't like hollow handle knives (because they arent full tang) But I think thats pretty slick.

Ah wow, lotta questions, well I don't know if it would sell, never really thought about it. Just wanted to do a cool/fun mod. Coatings: yes, I'm going to have it dura coated. My goal is for it to look like it came from the factory this way, so a coating will be applied. Do I still have finish work to do. Hell yeah, not near done. Having said that. I didn't work on it much today, worked all day on customers/blade show knives, but I wanted to see if the butt cap idea was gonna work, looks like its gonna pan out just fine.

honestly, I'm trying to get it to the point to where I can send it out for its coating so I can forget about it for a little while:D plus its all downhill from there! Gotta lot on my plate right now and would love to get this one buttoned up. If I can get it to the point to where I just have to make the sheath, id be as happy as a pig in sh!t. But I think its gonna be pretty damn cool when its done!

O.k. about due for a update, no pics right now but the knife is pretty much ready for duracoating. I contacted our very own Mr. K9 handler to do the chore. He's done some fantastic work for me in the past and id much rather deal with someone we all know. I asked Mr. Hunter Sharp on his color prefference and he has givin me full artistic riegn. So since its up to me. I think I'm gonna have it coated OD green. I think it will look fantastic with the brushed bronze endcap and the deep brown sheath I'm gonna make for it.

When I contacted Mr. K9 he was hog hunting in florida, my call must of brought him some great luck cause he bagged a nice sow. Congrads to you K9. Travel home safely my friend, you got some work to do when you get home!

This is very good news! I love OD green and I know K9 will do an excellent job. Any ideas on the sheath yet Tyson?

I've had a few ideas, none of them are seeming to work. Its kinda of a difficult knife to make a sheath for. I'm open to suggestions. But I definately want to do leather for it.

I think a Radall style would work well just make it come part way up the handle.

I think a standard pouch would work well so long as it covers more than half the handle.

O.k. time for a update. I couldn't really figure out what I wanted to do on the sheath. This knife really is kind difficult to make one for. There's no swell in the handle and not much to catch on a strap. I figured Mr. Hunter Sharp doesn't want to loose this thing but I drew a lot of blanks. So I finally figured the more I thought about it the longer it went on unfinished. So, I just jumped in tonight with both feet and I think its gonna turn out good. Here's some pics:

I made about 3 different templates out of a beer box (go figure)

So now that I got the sheath together, its time to send the knife to Mr. K9 Handler for some of his slick duracoating. While he has it. I can stitch it up and dye it. I think it will all come together real quick. Stay tuned!
