Hurry up and bring on the 25!!!!!

How is the sturdiness of the 25's blade without a pivot bushing to fully tighten down the screw?

damn, I see them in stock but I bought a spyderco southard just hours earlier

I just received an email from the Spyderco Store advertising the Southard a few hours ago and mulling over pulling the trigger myself.

Uggh!! I just had one in my cart at bladehq and it sold out while I was signing in. I guess it wasn't for me haha.

If you do check around, one website has them for $239 where others have them for $30 more.

I can say that I prefer the 21 better. I think I would actually prefer the old regular better than even the 21.

I don't see a 25 in my future; another model 21 with wood or micarta inlays is a strong possibility.

Thats about how I feel. I'm not knocking the 25, but I do prefer the Regular over the Classic, the Classic over the 21(slightly), and the 21 over the 25.

Congrats on your score BBQ BOY:thumbup:

The Idaho Made is still upside down. I wonder why it's different from the Umnumzaan

I really like the 25, a lot more than I thought I would, actually. It feels great in the hand. afew things I like and only one thing I do not like. The only negative, well, disappointment is the jimping. I was under the impression that the jimping was going to be like the 25 anniversary knife that I held at Blade, but it's jus the standard jimping. The pluses: larger pivot screw is very attractive, the scalloped handle is comfortable, the deletion of lanyard hole and locating hole give the knife a more sterile look. The lanyard stand off looks like a XM-18 stand off and that is how the lanyard is attached, by being tied around it. hen I get some time I will try to take some comparison photos.

Please! I would love to see some side by sides

Thats a bummer about the jimping... I liked the idea of triples like the prototype had.

Has there been a conclusion as to why the im stamp is upside down yet?

pictures please!

just got the email...mines coming on the big brown truck but not til Thurs! ack!

The pics from BHQ and KC have the triples on jimping. I wonder why yours showed up without them BBQB?
Mine shows up Monday, I'll report the jimping results.

Im hoping the jimping is like the one I felt at blade also...i loved it!

I really like the looks but I wish he woulda bumped the hardness up on these

I think if they were to have done that, it would be like saying the steel always needed the extra hardness and they certainly don't think it needs it, they stand by their current hardness so i really don't think they would concede to changing the hardness. I personally don't think it needs it either, i think it nicely balanced as is. The 25 looks like a cool knife, a nice addition to the CRK line up but to me it doesn't look better than the 21, the 21 looks much more attractive, and the Umnumzaan too. I'm sure it's a hell of a knife though, just not for me.
