Hutning knife poll???

I know why you have the KaBar......you had to add something on to get the free shipping, right? (That's how I got mine.) :D

Well.......let's start lobbying for a Buck stag Hobo!!!

Joe? CJ? Take a look at how many hobos are being sold and maybe you'll find it possible.

After all, hunting may be on the decline, but backpacking and camping are HUGE and growing.

*Idea*

Rocky...Naw, I got the KaBar Hobo some time ago for around $20. My wife knew I had my eyes on a Case, so she got that for me at Christmas. Then she took it to work (maybe my MIA 111 Classic is keeping it company?).

And, maybe in a few weeks my Musky 110BP CM154, jigged Oriental Buff, red spacers, and filework backspring and blade spine will be something I could dress Asian Water Buff with??

Anyway...no more thread drift from me LOL ;)

102 for birds...grouse, ducks, geese and turkeys
110 silver/cherry scales/clip on Hardman open sheath for outdoor walks, fishing trips
119 for moose
St. Amour custom/mastodon for deer
St. Amour custom/mastodon, drop point for camping/bush travel

I wouldn't carry a fix blade Buck (other than a 124) if I was on a trip where I had to think about a survival situation. I wouldn't trust the partial tang not to break, especially if I had to use it for prying.

Those Cabelas S30V 110's are sweet aren't they. I have the stag.

IMHO The best buy in knives right now too! Well, the rosewood one anyway :D The stag is out of my league right now unfortunately.

One of the stag was a Christmas present from my wife and kids. Awsome knife. Trying to figure out how to post a picture of it.

i am sure that if you wate a bit trax will be right along with the links!!!
he is pirty good at tthat

I have used my 112 since '77. It then took a back seat as a back-up when I purchased this Scott Cook custom.

Yeppers...

If you have a problem posting pictures, there is a Quick & Dirty tutorial at Photobucket For Dummies. If you don't have a digital camera, but do have a scanner, lay your knife on the glass and throw a light colored towel/t-shirt/cloth over it and scan it. Save the pic, and follow the above instructions for posting pics.

After looking at the picture I think I need to get th polish out for the brass. Thanks for the help chickentrax.

I run a tac belt for hunting, it just works nice for keeping anything I need in easy reach (I only use this belt for hunting and if not in the woods its in a scentlock bag). I have pouches for everything in easy reach...

ANYWAY I mounted a Strider RS on there. I also have a Gerber Multi Tool (looking at other multi tools now) and love it (The RS that is). I have also decided to mount a Wilson COP tool on the inside 9 pm (my weak side with a forward cant). I have this on my tac belt and its great if you need something to pry with, something to cut rope (I use it for cutting my harness cord if I have to due to falling out of the tree hunting or something)

I have some REALLY nice high end hand made hunting knives, I have a GREAT Randall but the Strider is what takes the abuse.

Chickentrax. The 1st and 3rd knives on left are Case slab sides. I like the blade design but the flat handle just bugs me. The top one does get some use. Thats why its scratched up. The small stag one I got a great deal on ebay so I couldn't pass it up.

A Kabar shorty w/ leather handle did the job alone for a while, but lately I've added a 110 and mini alpha. The Kabar is still there but now I use it for the rough work instead. The 110 mainly does the camp chores and backs up the mini, which is my dresser. I've been thinking about swapping out the Kabar with a 119, just haven't done it yet.
